I took advantage of having a Works done in my garage, but the "free" aspect of the on-site service was a 1 & done offering, thanks to a coupon. It probably is a limited time offering, but verify with your dealer.

My dealer, Skalnek Ford, offers free mobile service and has for a few years. I have had almost all my oil changes done in my driveway for less than $40. I supply my own AmsOil and filter.

Not offered by Ford, but by individual dealers in some markets. For example, neither of the Ford dealers in my area happen to have Mobile Service. That’s their choice.

My dealer has been offering mobile service for years. Apparently they prefer it because they call ME to get the recalls scheduled. I'm guessing it improves customer compliance and they get it off the books quicker. The latest trailer recall update only took about 10 minutes but the upcoming IPC update will take as long as 90 minutes. (I'm told it should help with the dreaded battery saver mode, we'll see). But that's quite a time commitment for them and a major convenience for me.

I LOVE this service, all my recalls have been able to be done with this, set appt. ,they usually show up early, and are out like lickity split.

My dealer offers mobile service. Those items done free are those paid by Ford warranty, recalls, etc. Free pickup & delivery for those repairs done at the dealership. Dealer saves $ by having fewer work bays at dealership. My mobile service Tech likes the route work because he gets paid by the hour and doesn't wind up with downtime when waiting for parts for vehicles torn apart in his work bay when he worked at the dealership.

While not specific to my Maverick, we had mobile service come out to do a software update for my wife's Lincoln MKX. Tech showed up, but seemed to have a lot of problems connecting. Not sure whether it was connecting to vehicle or to internet. Anyway, after an hour (supposed to be 20 minutes) tech said it's done and they left. Three days later, got a message from dealer and Ford saying "you need to do the software upgrade". Got long BS story from dealer, but they had to send someone out again. This time, it was only 20 minutes.

My dealer has gone all in on mobile service for the past few years. Given I live a mile and a half from the dealership, it is a win for both of us. I don't have to wait at the dealership and they spend very little coming to me.
