Have you seen/tried this ?

https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/forscan-help-with-a10-gear-indicator.164776/page-2

I genuinely believed that this would work, but unfortunately, it didn’t in my Tremor 2026!
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks!
The least expensive way to get a gear display on your dash is to buy a used Ranger - they’ve had them for years.

The best way to get a gear display on your Maverick is to buy a Lobo. The quick shift 7 speed will show you the gear you’re in as quick as you can shift them.

Edit - your 26 Tremor has the same physical power train as the Lobo - but the Lobo has a different dash gear display & “M”button on the rotary shifter that would require mods beyond just reprogramming the ECU…

I had forgotten to mention that this worked in the 2025 tremor, but not in the 2026 tremor..

I doubt the Maverick has the capability to display it.
Yes, my 2025 escape had the ability to show the torque to each wheel, but that seems to be absent on the Maverick also.

The gear display can be turned on through tuning with an accessport. I have an explorer cluster in mine but I know the base and Lariat clusters can show the gear when manually shifting after adding paddle shifters, so they should be able to show the gear all the time.

do you have the settings you used to get the traffic signs to work with your lane assist ? I put a king ranch cluster in and I can't get them to work together for the life of me, I tried the "easy mode" as well as "As is" I think it's 720-03-02 ? can you send me your settings, please

I'm getting ready to trade my truck in, so I took that cluster out. But I did it through the easy menu and I think these are the instructions I followed. I had it enabled on the stock cluster and just copied that as built data to the explorer cluster and I don't remember having to change anything with the traffic sign recognition stuff.

Thanks. Good luck with your trade in. Have any other aftermarket stuff you took off?

I have a lot of stuff that I'm taking off this week, I'm hoping to get pictures and start listing stuff this weekend. Form tail lights, Sync 4 and transit screen, explorer cluster, dual climate control with the display in the knobs, heated fiesta st steering wheel with paddle shifters, S&B intake, MBRP catback, Mach-E brakes, engine covers, edge st wheels, 8" Alpine type R's in boxes for both sides under the back sean and there's probably more I'll think of as I'm taking stuff off

I meant which of 8 gears ahead. There are some possible settings using FORSCAN to display that. I will try.
I just enable that on my Lobo but I haven't seen if it works yet. I enable a few things but so far none of them actually work except Bambi mode, not sure if it's because it's a 2026 or not. There seen to be quite a few things in the different module that don't apply. I've seen features that my truck has that work show disabled in Forscan.

If you press the “M” button in the center of your shift dial - the dash displays the gear you’re in. You’ll have to shift manually using the paddles and you’ll see the gear you’re currently in. Only way I drive my Lobo. 20mpg instead of 25 with Normal Automatic shifting. Worth it to me:)

If you’re in automatic mode - the gear will display briefly if you use your paddles. It will disappear and go back into automatic shifting with no gear being displayed.

If you know this already - oops never mind:)
