I’m having to replace my instrument cluster on my 22 Lariat Hybrid. I know a new one has to be flashed through Forscan so the mileage is corrected. Does anybody know if the cluster can be installed and it work just by plugging it in? I wondered if the settings currently in the module that feeds it the data would allow it to function and then flash the system afterwards for the correct mileage? Does anybody know of any current guides that provide the steps to do this in Forscan?

Finding a 22-24 Lariat Hybrid cluster with less mileage than your truck has is going to be the hardest part, forscan only increases miles on the cluster.

Yes, it will work by just pluging it in but there are other modules in the truck that record the mileage so I wouldn't drive the truck unless you correct the cluster with forscan first.

Depending on the truck you get the donor cluster may need some other settings changed, I could be wrong but I think all 22-24 Lariat Hybrids have the same cluster configuration.

You'll need the license version of forscan.

I would definitely get accustomed to how forscan works before you write any settings

Thank you. I had already tried to find a used one with the right mileage. It was like looking for a Unicorn! So I'm ordering a new one, paying the core charge, and returning for my credit. I watched the tutorials on Forscan and tonight I used it to make backups of all the modules. I also identified the Odometer mileage module and checked to make sure I would have access before completing my order for the new cluster. I paid Ford the diag fee to protect me in case the cluster is not the problem so I can return it if needed. The center 6.5" display is the only thing out as the other gauges work fine. What's weird is if the temps inside the cabin get hot enough, the display comes back on for a little while. I'm hoping it is the cluster and not the module that feeds it data or the cable that connects the two.

Where can you see the current mileage in Forscan?
