We have had cold weather (highs in the low teens, below zero at night for a week) but I tend to dismiss that since the brake fluid dropped as much in the summer, fall and winter.
I suspect DadofTim is more on target thinking it is some type of master cylinder seal.
My 2023 was AWD but did have 18" rims which are supposed to be more gas consuming.
My current 2025 is also AWD with 17" rims but it is an FX4 so it has the off road setting that I have only used for maybe 10 miles total at most, which ought to be negligible over that 8800 current miles.
Never gone over 20 mph in off-road mode.
I drive like an old man since that is what I'm becoming.
Seems I'm dealing with an uncommon defect in the brake hydraulic system.
I will let the fluid drop some more, if I don't the dealer will have little motivation to stop denying there is an issue.
I know not everyone who has a Maverick monitors this website but it would sure be nice if someone is having a similar issue and better yet learning how it got resolved..

Not sure how long you're prepared to wait around on that, but looking at the "similar threads" below, and doing a quick SEARCH of the forum suggests this is an incredibly rare issue.

You have a decent theory; I'd get the master cylinder and booster looked at by someone sooner rather than later.

I agree it is likely a rare issue as I did scour this website before starting this thread but again I perceive there are plenty of new car vehicle that don't monitor or use these websites.

My update-
I took it in to the dealer on 2-15-26 and have driven up to around 2000 miles since.
At my previous visit they had advised me they topped of the fluid but when I picked it up after my last visit on 2-15-26 they denied they topped it off and claimed the fluid never dropped.
I have to take their word for it that they did not add fluid even though they told me they did before.
I have been monitoring the fluid level and have no noticeable drop over the last 2000 miles.
I know the previous drops were not my imagination.
When I did fill the fluid myself the first time I went near the Max line since the vehicle was cold and ambient temps were middle of the road, like 60-70f, being at the full mark is what I'm used to.
I found it odd that out of the showroom these vehicles are not delivered with the fluid at the Max line.
On 2-15-26 the fluid level was at the seam of the reservoir and has remained there for these last 2000 miles.
I will say when I'm stopped at a stop light and in drive sometimes I notice a slight 'bird -cooing' sound that does not happen if I change to neutral at the light.
I will continue to monitor.

Paul,
If you have a cell phone. I suggest that you take pictures of the level in the reservoir and compare them after a few thousand miles again.
Especially before and after taking it to the dealership for service.
It's free and relatively easy.
Just saying.
Good luck.
