If you reordered your Maverick TODAY… what trim are you picking?
(SINCE SO MANY PEOPLE VOTED AND DISCCUSED ECOBOOST VS HYBRID I THOUGHT WHY NOT ASK THIS)

  • XL
  • XLT
  • Lariat
  • Tremor
  • Lobo

And did owning your current one change your opinion at all?

I feel like when these trucks first came out everyone thought one trim was clearly the “best” depending on budget/use, but after actually living with them for a few years now I feel like opinions changed a lot.

XL:
• cheapest/simple
• steelies honestly became part of the Maverick look at this point
• probably the best blank canvas
• but also missing a lot of stuff people later wish they had

XLT:
• feels like the trim most people ended up buying
• solid middle ground
• better looks/features without getting too crazy on price
• probably the “safest” choice overall

Lariat:
• definitely feels the most complete
• nicer interior/tech/features
• best daily driver?
• but the price climbs FAST

Tremor:
• one of the coolest looking trims Ford made honestly
• feels way more aggressive from factory
• some people love it
• other people think it’s overpriced and would rather build an FX4 themselves

Lobo:
• probably the most controversial Maverick now
• some people think it’s sick Ford finally made a street version
• others think lowering a truck completely defeats the point 😭

What’s funny is I feel like BEFORE ownership everyone shops based on price…

But AFTER ownership people care way more about:
• comfort
• looks
• daily driving
• practicality
• uniqueness
• whether the trim still feels worth the money later on

So if you could reorder today what trim are you going with?
Does this mean that you would stay with the same trim you have now?

pic for attention

I'm undecided.
I love my xlt, but there are a few things on a lariat that I would like and a few things on a lariat that I don't want.
Let's go back to the days of ordering individual options instead of packages.
My 88 Mustang only has like 3 options. Got an automatic, A/C, and the bittersweet stripe to NOT get the painted on pinstripe.
Ok, 4 options. The 5.0

Being on my 3rd one, I started with an XLT, went to a Lariat, and now my current Lariat Tremor. If & when I get another, most likely another Tremor.

Why did you go from XLT to Lariat? What was the want to get that one more trim upgrade? Was trim the reason you changed or also powertrain?

The XL because that was the only way to get a keyed ignition, and since I didn't want any of the options the Lux package provided, it saved a lot of money for accessories I actually did want.
The XLT just provided the ability to get the Lux package, so instead, I got features that actually mattered to me.

With a hybrid AWD and the 4K tow, it also included the CoPilot 360, rearview camera and power mirrors.

IMHO, the XL is far and away the best value. I don't miss a thing.

What on the lariat would you want?

I felt the same way with the XL but I got it for surfing. It lets me put my keys inside of my truck then lock from the keypad go surf come back unlock with keypad and go. Don't need to worry about putting the key somewhere.

My previous (company) vehicles had the push to start button, I never realized how much I would miss that once I took delivery of my '23 XLT. Ordered the '24 Lariat to get the PTS, as well as the Active-X seats. All 3 of mine have been the 2.0 EB & AWD.

Only reason I bought a Maverick was for the Lobo. My second choice would be the PHEV RAV4 GR Sport with 320hp & “manual” shifting:)

Yes - for helping folks move & occasional bicycle hauling:) Have a few scratches in the bed but the tonneau cover keeps them unexposed. Have a full coverage bed mat too.

Rarely have a back seat passenger (once) and passenger seat is almost as rarely used. Very happy with my “weekend car” Lobo.

Would not have been a good fit for me earlier in life however. But work commuting & taking kid to schools is in the rear view mirror. Lobo is a combo of a “hot hatch” & easy access truck bed - perfect for me now:)

I would buy an XLT again. I agree it's a good value. All I really need. Now I know it would never happen, but if the Tremor ever became available with 4k tow, then I'm probably buying a Tremor. I like that sort of Raptor-lite look it has going, and the better rear diff.
