Is your nickname "The Lantern?" Because that sure is a lot of gaslighting.Honda hybrids have the same battery charging issues Ford has, their V6s were recalled for exploding, and their 9 speed transmission (a ZF model) has the same non serviceable filter BS that Ford has with the 8f35; and their 10 speed is now failing at 60-80k miles with no repairs possible, just a $10k replacement. Toyota's CVTs in their traditional gas cars are just as unreliable as the Nissan equivalent, the Rav 4's interior is a cheap chintzy mess that rattles like a poorly built maverick, and their 10 speed transmissions and the new 3.4L V6 are exploding time bombs. And cheap plastics galore! So much broken trim.....
And Toyota these days is riding HARD on that reputation. Their service and sales departments are downright sickening to deal with, I'm talking Kia tier nonsense.
And wanna talk software? The maverick's features at least WORK. For honda, that's a suggestion, their IT is a decade behind and it shows in their sensors and how crude their safety tech feels compared to the Fords. Dad's Ridgeline did not impress me at all in how it actually operated. Looked good on paper, but felt like a 2010 honda in practice. Toyota meanwhile loves subscriptions for things Ford gives for free, like the phone connectivity and remote start.
That green grass? It's been spray painted and the masses have deluded themselves into thinking the paint is natural for healthy lawns.
My first new car was a Honda, and I've owned several more, plus two motorcycles over the last 30+ years. Probably have put 500,000 miles on all of them combined, and I personally wrench on all of them. I guess my experience has been great because none of them were a CVT.
And for the record, in 10 years I don't think I ever had to "reboot" my Acura head unit. Wouldn't have known how even if I needed to. Whereas I have muscle memory on how to do a hard reset in my Maverick.
