Within a few days of taking delivery of my 2025 Eruption Green Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid I did a clay bar treatment on it (which I highly recommend). I also took some measures and applied a quality wipe on wipe off sealant. I recently was talking to a very knowledgeable paint and body shop owner about our RV’s and he told me about this TurtleWax Product and that he started using and loved the results and actually gave me a demonstration on his vehicle.

I decided to order a few bottles and after washing my Maverick today I decided to give it a try. After drying it I used one micro-cloth to apply it and a second one to buff it out by hand. I was very happy with the results and the ease of applying it. We’ll see how it holds up but for now I plan to reapply it monthly I did the entire truck in less than 30 minutes…

I grabbed some of that last year because it was inexpensive and readily available at Walmart.

I can't speak to the overall longevity, but I will say for the first several weeks, the truck did shed water and stay clean, similar to what you would get with a very high-quality wax product.

My most recent wash was last year, and the truck is now covered in pollen, so all bets are off. I'll wash and reapply it again soon.

I love that but with the unibody construction I'm more worried about what I can't see. Here in the upper Midwest they're way too liberal with the salt which will rot out the structural stuff.

I'm not understanding how that is related to a cosmetic coating strictly meant for the visible body panels.

Ceramic Coating any vehicle is a lot of work....I've done 5 so far. And I'm confident the extra dollars for a quality professional level CC kit is money well spent. The kits come with the proper applicator pads which makes a world of difference....The lower cost ceramic coating just don't last...my friends using the WallyWorld grade claim 1 year is typical.

My ONE bottle of professional grade Ceramic Coating has done 2 cars, 1 Maverick, and 2 motorcycles...and I have plenty still in the bottle....it was $90-$100+- but the labor involved makes it worth it to last 5, 6 years....My Cayman still beads like a duck after 6 years. Rages are critical and best place is the "Rag Shop" or "Rag Shack"...they are not just micro-fiber rags but "micro-fiber polishing rags". I too wash my Maverick 3 or 4 times a year, a garden hose "alone" usually does the job.

Most new cars don't need a "claybar" but the Maverick has a really minimal paint job and I found it definatly needed a "claybar"...takes an hour but worth it.

the truck really pops with that color. In my experience, I find TW to be one of the better tier of over the counter product lines. Their ceramic spray sealant is really easy to use and tends to last a lot longer than expected.

Thank you Matt I am really happy with the color it was the only choice I had when I purchased it another customer had ordered it then decided not to take delivery so I didn’t have to wait to get one and took delivery the day after they unloaded it, I needed the AWD Hybrid since I flat tow it behind my RV - I do like this TurtleWax product and since it’s so easy to apply I plan to apply it monthly at least that’s my plan

That is exactly the same product that I use and I also highly recommend it.

My good-enough lazy detailing job is basically wash it weekly at a gas station tunnel, spray it monthly with the Turtle Wax, and wax it quarterly with the Turtle Wax 3-in-1 hybrid ceramic wax. Gets like 90% of the scratches and swirls filled in or polished out, which is good enough for something that gets used as a truck.

I've done my fair share of ceramic coatings and agree about washing the car with just water pressure from a garden hose. But eh, for the labor involved on something that isn't a show car, I don't think it's worth it.

Project Farm did a test of various ceramic sprays and Turtle Wax was among the best performers at any price.

I love their wash and wax. Spray on a wet clear car and wipe dry. If they have the ceramic like that I’ll bite.

I do like the dry vehicle application. I grab my Makita Battery operated leaf blower and the Maverick is dry in minutes…

They also make a car wash that is for their ceramic coating. I apply coating yearly and use the wash in between. I'm happy with it.
