Why turning the steering wheel slightly will restart the engine after stop start has shut it off?

Actually - that extra electrical load is just like the poster that found a certain light plugged into the back seat powerport was just enough to prevent AS/S from engaging.

So it must be nothing more than the current load.

Your battery still hanging around 12.5, right?
Wondering where the line is for Amps depending on Voltage.

Never actually sat and waited to see if it would eventually shut down again but so far it never has waiting for a typical light. I have not experimented with it much as I only play with it when forgetting to turn it off. I have a Mazda I bought new 18 years ago, manual trans no driver aids other than ABS, such a pleasure to drive.
Helping a friend sell their 2003 Toyota 4Runner.
Air suspense system is non-working without expensive replacement.
It was nice to see 2 fuses would disconnect the pump/module from trying to inflate nothing.
And those 2 fuses had nothing else on them - so a fuse pull caused an OFF on the dashboard for the function - no button needed.

Because I drive almost exclusively in sport mode, I am making seven or eight selections every time I start the truck. I paid for the truck, I drive the truck, seems like I should have the option to set it up the way I want to use it. If I am out doing errands I have to go thru the same sequence at every stop. I just want the option to set the parameters for my driving style and not have them constantly default to some preconceived notion of how I should drive.
Well hell....your license plate and screen name should be "SPORTAF"..... 😂 😂 😂

BWAHAHAHAHA

Thanks - I needed that this morning. A good chuckle and some fond memories.

(BTW - that shouldn't fly according to what they teach in school - and FLIGHT school - about airfoils, lift, and why planes fly. LOL)

those things actually"plane" the air angle of attack, consider most kites, not all laws are immutable.

At the risk of a total thread hijack - I get that. Bernoulli's theorem (taught almost universally as why things fly) doesn't cover a lot of things like ground effect, symmetrical airfoils like on at least one Pitts version (that oddly enough flies faster inverted) etc.

Kites are a special case as they pull against the tether.

consider angle of attack, its critical to airflow and stall, you will notice on modern plows the "angle of attack" is critical,to shallow they skid, too steep they bog,who would have ever thought the first"flying bathtub" lifting body(check out "dynasoar" while testing being towed those things would become airborne before the tow plane, theres a lot more to aerodynamics and bouyancy then first meets the eye, chamber lift is very important, watch crows fly( wing warping on the next level) there was talk of building high performance aircraft with no conventional control surfaces( induced drag from active wing skins etc, causing the aircraft to yawl and skid in the desired flight envelope, you watch things like a super hornet take to the air( must be why they are so noisy) with all the junk hanging in the airstream its a wonder they can get airborne( thrust very important)

Can't really accept that as the starter is generally the highest amperage draw and a healthy battery can easily handle that. Also, once started by turning the wheel the engine will continue to run until accelerating away from the stop.
Depending on charge status of battery along with other things. The measured amps while stopped could trigger ice restart if you have been regularly stopping and the amps needed to keep all stuff operating cannot be replaced within a few minutes. (Regardless of actual soc of battery). Try timing the start/stop interval? It seems like my hybrid will auto start at 45 seconds. (I don't actually time it but count slowly so could be longer or maybe shorter interval). Does seem to have a set max time delay????
