Worried about ice and snow buildup cracking the back glass

I have a 22 Maverick with a Tono cover and I’m worried about with all the snow and ice. If there’s a possibility that it could crack the back glass being that the water can only run out the sides has anybody had a problem with that? is there something I should do to help the drainage?

Will not be a problem. I have never heard of any such thing happening. Lived my life in very cold snowy temps.

Just clear the snow away and let the sun melt it. If it's too consistently cold and cloudy for that (unlikely in Ohio), put a few ziplocks of WARM NOT HOT water across the back to melt it down. I've also never heard of this being an issue worth worrying about.

Lots of folks driving Mavs in cold climates and using tonneaus for several years now, have not once seen any reports of issues in this regard.

Nothing to worry about.
I’ve had snow and ice from tonneau to roof on many occasions without issue. Not safe from a driving perspective but it never caused a problem regarding the vehicle.

Got all my climate controls set up for a warm cabin with clear glass and side mirrors.
My ‘Frost Guard’ is in use, mirrors bagged.
I’ll remote start from inside my warm cabin.
Twice if need be.
Heated seats should be toasty and my heated steering wheel should be quite the pleasure to grab hold of.
It’s a breezy 18 F here this AM
Wind chills are about 6 F

This is cold for the Western NC Appalachians

I’m so freakin spoiled because of this little truck.

Northern michigan here, our truck sits outside. I wouldn't worry about it.

Lucky you! At 4,700 feet we're sitting at a healthy 9 degrees and when the wind snaps down from the NW that feels a whole lot worse.

Non issue. Just don't put hot water or anything hot on it.

Just completely clean the cover off. I’ve been doing it since Nov. 2021. I have a 2022 XL, no problems.
