Not afraid it will happen again? I was under the impression it is a model / use issue. Not a truck-by-truck issue.
There are many reporting no issues with little driving and cold winter temps even.
Those that are in warmer climates even have no issues with low voltage being maintained fine.

I'm thinking a sensor issue outside the known reasons several mentioned that understandably would cause an issue.
And charging strategy despite it seeing low volts. Perhaps related to the Relearn accuracy.

If truck logs show what it thinks is about equal discharge and charging - and yet the battery voltage slowly is decreasing over time - it's wrong on one of those values obviously.

Only 1 battery sensor in there getting the readings.
Same sensor used on Relearn for values used is calc's going forward.

Not an expensive sensor.

I'd like others with decreasing voltage or no issues to look at those PID's for cumulative charge and discharge - are they holding about equal?

Did you install an AGM? The higher capacity seemed to “fix” the issue by being able to take the small drain I may still have left.

As many have argued, the truck should have come with an AGM - or they should have automatically given us an AGM replacement when these issues became prevalent.
Nope, no AGM. I’m going to get every ounce of life out of the factory installed battery before I spend any money on a new battery. Doing otherwise is just throwing money out the window.

I hear you. You’re absolutely right.

Keep a jumper in the truck!

i just got to the point where a $250 AGM was worth preventing a wasted afternoon stranded somewhere. Not worth being right for me.

So far, 3 1/2 years in, never had it not start, so I know mine never gets as low as some. I’ve got a roadside assistants package, so if I need a jump I’ll just call. I know I would forget to charge one of the jump packs, so it wouldn’t do me any good.

Yeah, my dealer found me a loaded '25 Lariat hybrid AWD w 4K tow. They discounted it $500 for my trouble and then found me a $1500 rebate no one knew existed. Interestingly enough there are certain perks that go with a buyback, that's one of them. The other is they offer a number of Ford ESP's at cost. I decided on a 6/60 for good piece of mind.
I think they are giving the rebates on most in stock MY25 Mavericks. I got 1000.00 year end, 1000.00 customer appreciation, and 1700.00 for Z-plan discount on a MY25 XL Hybrid AWD 4K towing.

My 22 took a few times to the dealership to figure it out. I went through 2 updates, then the next morning my dome lights wouldn't turn on after dealer "fixes". Took it back to them the next day...well actually they picked it up. They had it for a few more days made the a/c module update, reset my FordPass, and replaced my battery with an AGM one. Zero issues with sleep or dome lights not working. This work was done in September and we have had some very cold weather in MI since and still working perfectly and I have full functionality of all features.

My dealer is great and didn't get it right the first few times but never turned me down to dig deeper. I also have a spare vehicle so them keeping it for a week wasn't an issue either.

I think the disconnecting of all the Fordpass related stuff definitely makes a difference. I put in an AGM battery (installed 05/11/2024) and last week did the Forscan charge rate change to 95% after fully charging my battery. I also reset the BMS. I haven't had a notification yet, since upgraded the charge rate, but if it happens, I know the software is doing its job.
All you guys with forscan it’s starting to make me want to buy one of you guys a beer on a maverick truck date and have you scan my truck lol… jk

What does changing the charge rate do? What is the factory setting? Why would Ford not set it to its optimal setting?

What I would like to have done with Forscan:
Speed sign recognition. Why wouldn’t ford just turn it on? My Nissan had this and I loved it.
You don’t always catch the speed signs…

Turn off the door bell chime. It comes on almost immediately and doesn’t even give you time to strap your seat belt and it’s already going off.
I swear my seat belt alarm goes off 1 more time even after I plugged the belt into buckle lol
It’s her way of saying ****u, you’ll listen… lol

Also, what you did with the charging rate, if that helps with the remote features disabled issue. M
Mine seems to do it at total random at times.
It usually doesn’t but every once in a while she will.

There was a few other I read on here that sounded good I just don’t remember. Is that forscan easy and safe to use? Can you mess up the truck with it at all?
Have a good day!

My son's truck was getting the notifications and doing into power save mode. As crazy as it sounds we found he was leaving charging cords plugged into the USB ports for his and his friends phones. Once he started unplugging the cords each evening the notifications stopped.

I check my battery status after sitting overnight. It was at 12.3v. This is with having my car adjusted to:

An AGM Battery (installed 05/11/2024)
Changing the charge rate to 95%
Reseting the BMS

When I picked up the truck in September of 2023, original battery didn't last 2 months. Dealer said I killed the battery with my "enhanced sound system." I then bought another flooded battery on my own. Got "battery saver" messages within two weeks and battery finally died in May of 2024. Needless to say, I wasn't happy.

So, I did a deep dive in this forum and came to the conclusion that I needed an AGM battery (the largest that would fit) I needed to reset the charge rate, then fully charge my battery, then reset the BMS.

The order I was able to do it was:

AGM battery- 05/11/2024
Did a full charge up (took 30 minutes) on January 6th 2026
Reset the charge rate to 95% on January 6th 2026
Reset the BMS on January 6th 2026

It took me awhile from the original install of the AGM battery to get to January of this year to do the last two things. During that year and a half with the AGM battery, it never died, but I did get the dreaded "sleep" message occasionally. But the AGM battery is still going strong at 12.3v at rest.

I feel better with the results the last 18 months have shown.

This means the battery was/is on the verge of low enough voltage.
Sounds like above 12.1 after a drive, so no battery saver time limits, or not shorted enough.
But since the power ports were still getting power upwards of 75/60 min, the USB charging did indeed lower battery volts enough to kick time limits on and get you the warning.

Eventually it would have started turning off power ports on door open - then there's no problem!

So has the last week of driving with those system settings changed, been the normal driving routine?
And how long are those drives?

Since it got full charge on the 6th, probably to 12.7 or abouts, and settings to say charge it higher than normal - it's interesting it still dropped to 12.3 after this many days.
Unless not much driving going on in 7 days.

Just my normal short drives. 7 minutes, 10 minutes and 5 minute intervals.

The lemon law works just fine. Ford bought my '24 Lariat hybrid back after 6 weeks in the service bay. They and multiple FSE 's could not identify the source of the battery saver mode issue. Yes it was an inconvenience but I got everything back after 8,000 miles. Sometimes it's the only solution and certainly the only way Ford is going to get the message.
Doesn't work in Canada. They don't buy back here.
