I’m embarrassed to say that I just sideswiped a parked car trying to park along the curb on my residential street to take a pic of the supermoon without wires in the way. I cut over too soon 😡

And this is why I have never owned a new car. I’m sick.

I haven’t had as much as a scratch on my cars that was my fault since the 70s.

Maybe it’s a sign of impending senility.

P.S. And the pic of the moon is lame…

Does indicate: as maneuverable and nimbal as the Maverick feels, you have to remember it is a fairly large vehicle. Sorry for your misfortune. Thanks for the reminder.

Sucks.

First week I had my first car I scraped it on a concrete pillar in a parking garage like that and still remember that feeling.

But you've got that "first ding" out of the way now and can relax

I’m thinking the door will need to be reskinned
They will more than likely just replace the door. It's too much work to remove the old skin and put a new one on. Labor is expensive. The good news is that it should not take too long to fix and you'll be happy once you get it back good as new.

Dang, that sucks...but, like others said, it could be worse and your first "ding" is out of the way....

Hmmm - all the driver training with my son last summer parking and parallel parking the Rav4 - I can't recall doing my own to confirm distances in the truck yet.

I sure prefer the back-in to spaces so the screen can be used. Been about the extent of it.
But never tested my perception on the rest - because indeed, bigger than I probably think.
