I agree that no post is above criticism. And I'm aware of the primary instigator. His Name itself says it all for me. But I just would hope that we wouldn't let an obvious troublemaker pull us down to his level. It kinda brings out the worst in everyone. I almost piled on. Then I realized that he wasn't worth my time or effort. I remember reading in the Bible something to the effect of when a wise man argues with a fool, it because hard to tell who is who. This is how I see it: A YouTuber makes video where he pans the Maverick, then makes an account at MTC to promote his video, but disingenuously starts a thread about the video, claiming it was made by someone else, but that the content of the video was “spot on”.
Then when someone accuses him of making the video himself and self promoting, he gets very defensive.
So then someone else jumps in and starts to mock and belittle the YouTube video, because it is a hatchet job of a review on the Maverick. And in response, the OP starts to get super offended and defensive about a video, which he supposedly did not make or have any connection to.
Which then leads everyone else to pile on about how bad the video review is, causing the OP’s temper to boil.
Then on page 5, Art Vandelay jumps in and very skillfully starts to “troll the troll”, slowly and subtly at first and then openly after the OP has taken the bait.
And that leads to a complete temper tantrum / meltdown of the OP, slinging insults and obscenities at everyone that had criticized the review video, that was supposedly made by a third party, that he had no connection to. Which makes absolutely no sense, unless this guy was the author of the video and he was lying to everyone about it.
In my opinion, OP of that thread was disingenuous, hypocritical and self aggrandizing, and that he got what he deserved when other forum members criticized him.
And the swearing and insults were only coming from the OP of the thread, which led to him being banned.
As far as the “we can do better sentiment” goes, I think the other members that commented on the thread were not being unreasonable in bringing up criticisms of a video that repeatedly panned the Maverick.
Shoot.... I missed the tennis shoe part. The OP's first threads back in the summertime would ramble on and on about how uncomfortable the Maverick seats were and he would mention many vehicles he drove and owned that were SO much more comfortable , and yet he would get all defensive about being overweight and push back against everyone's suggestions to fix the seats , or sell the Maverick .....
...and yes , there was the speakers , cheap plastics , parking brake issues he would bring up too....
The lighter side ....we all got to hear about his tennis shoes .......
I honestly think he had/has a problem ...
AMEN ....
He enjoys a good pair of Hokas.Shoot.... I missed the tennis shoe part.
Maybe it's a good thing for generations to come to know that a particular person was that way. It'll be exhibit A of teaching folks how not to act. Imagine that being a person's mark on the worldMods, can we also delete his thread? There's no good reason for it to exist in cyber-space forever.
Nuke it! HRG
Never heard of Hokas. He enjoys a good pair of Hokas.
To me... It does not show well of his' parents.Maybe it's a good thing for generations to come to know that a particular person was that way. It'll be exhibit A of teaching folks how not to act. Imagine that being a person's mark on the world![]()
Hopefully they taught him better. But he rebelled. I've seen that happen too .To me... It does not show well of his' parents.

I think Darryl created Synner as a sock puppet - in order to vent his frustrations with his Maverick anonymously. A bit diabolical if you ask me.I would not be surprised, if we see some of the banned members return with different profiles.
Yes, I know it takes a different routers and IP numbers it's not that hard to do.
There is one who I am wondering about already.![]()
Or maybe "Hokas" was a typo. Say it out loud with a New England or New York accent...He enjoys a good pair of Hokas.

Same. Well kinda. I don’t wear NB. But never heard of Hokas, so probably saw that comment and moved on without realizing it was about tennis shoes.Never heard of Hokas.
I had to look them up.
Being a old man, I wear "NB" New Balance from Big 5 Sporting Goods.
Also being old, I don't run anymore. I shuffle briskly. I'm afraid of tripping over my big ass feet.

Ooh, make that twelve cylinders!Somehow felt like I didn't fit in with that crowd. Now that I have an EcoBoost
