There's 2 removable plates, 1 for oil filter & 1 for oil plug. Plate is in perfect place for hybrid motor but ecoboost needs a funnel to not spill on the plate.
But who wants an ecoboost amirite

So after 2 months waiting I finally got in the @RIVAL 4x4 skidplate, quite light actually, aluminum but a good 1/4inch thick, no shoping mall curb-hopping teenage driver can take out my Mav now.

Maybe we can setup a Maverick class rally stage, need a snorkel next, just because dont ask why.

Oh also discovered the Krown lifetime warranty only gives an option for "Province" not "State" so hopefully no warranty calls.

For Indiana people, I went to the Krown dealer in kokomo, IN, pretty far out down cornfield back roads but a great little place, father & son garage let me sit back & watch & use their lift to install my skidplate.

Btw I didnt get a skidplate just for a nice door for oil changes, its for peace of mind driving on trails & young drivers at a campsite who didn't see the decorative rock & drive over it - skidplate lets you come out without major underbody damage - ripping a chunk out of your radiator, smashing the AC evaporator, & cracking your oilpan.

If you have teen drivers, you need a skiplate on every vehicle they drive.

Oh damn its already back to pre-order?

I prepaid & waited 2 months for the shipment, when the shipment with my skidplate came in they had some extra & were selling them on the website, sold them all & back to pre-order in just 3 days.

Dam! How did you get that price?
$168 was the price of the Krown underbody & electrical connectors oil sealer coating, not the skidplate.

I paid whatever the standard Rival price was $359 - my Shop.com points discount $20 or so, which covered taxes & shipping so I ended up paying the list price after it was delivered.

Don't need to go far at all, just grab a couple large rocks and place em in the road and have at it.

My truck was used for the prototype. I am still using it with 0 issues. I think they did a great job.

Oh wow, so the oil change port is in the perfect place for both Hybrid 2.5 & the Ecoboost not to get oil on the skidplate? Its been amazing for my hybtid, good to know its also great on the Ecoboost too
I have the 2.0, it's not "perfect" but a little oil on the top isn't going to hurt anything. I thought about using aluminum foil or a thin piece of sheet metal, but brake clean works too.

I seriously wonder why a skidplate that has clearance for both the 2.5l hybrid drive, & the Ecoboost & 8L transmission, somehow cannot fit the Ecoboost Tremor package?

The skipplate just bolts with 4 bolts to the front & middle cross-members, the middle one Im sure is the same across all Mavericks, the front cross-member holds the radiator, I can see the Tremor having a more ruggedized radiator but engineering a whole new front cross-member just for the Tremor? Ford's cost savings approach to Maverick I dont think so - though i could be wrong

Tremors unique CV-axles should not play a role, the skidplate has a lot of clearance from both the hybrid & EB cv-axles (which are different).

Honestly I think mfg are just putting the "no Tremor" disclaimer because so few have access to one, they have no idea if stuff would fit.

Maybe we need to create a "clearance & dimensions differences of Ecoboost vs Tremor" because Ford definitely went the simplest route to modify the unibody for Tremor specific mounting solutions,

Ford is not gonna do small volume steel member stampings for a special edition, just reuse existing holes or maybe drill & tap 1 or 2 new threaded holes max in the existing stampings.

Also getting the same BS disclaimer for 2025 Mavericks vs 22-24 its the same friggin unibody same crash certification, different plastic bumper COVER & headlight shape

If I have to read "EXCEPT TREMOR" one more time, I think I'll BARF!
