I told my wife yesterday to relax, follow my lead, and go with the flow. I've set my sights on an end-of-March birthday present with a 4th of July parade fallback date. What I really hoped to learn with this post is just how many 2022s are going to be made. It seems that Ford is taking on more than it can deliver. Anyway, I appreciate all of the feedback I've gotten.

I wasn't trying to be disagreeable or disregard anyone else's answers. I hope my post didn't come off that way. I'm just trying to be funny.

I hope we all get our trucks soon!

Have a great day!

I'm trying to make sense of the timeframe I could expect to wait for my Hybrid XLT, which was ordered on 1 November 2021. I read that there have been 20,000+ Mavs already built. I also read that there have been over 100,000 reservations received and that the max number that can be built is 800/day, or 4,000/week. To simplify, let's say there have been 120,000 reservations minus 20,000 built equals 100,000 more to build. At 4,000/week, it will take 25 weeks to get all of them off the production line and rolling to their owners. #100,000 should be on the transport on May 25, 2022, all things being equal, which of course, they aren't. For those in the know, is this a realistic assumption?
It may depend upon what equipment you ordered. More options, mean more supply chains to depend on. I ordered a hybrid Lariat on Oct23 and my dealer told me to expect six months delay. Two weeks later, he said to expect 2-3 months. I think, it comes when it comes.......Hopefully your wait will be short.

One more time. The 100,000 number was for reservations, not for confirmed orders. Not everyone who put in a reservation advanced to converting it to an order with a dealer, for whatever reason(s) they may have had for not doing so.
I'm sure that is true but it is hard for me to believe that only 35% to 40% of the customer reservations were turned into customer orders. Even if they decided they did not want the truck, they could probably flip it and make some money.

I can believe that a lot of dealers made large reservations for their dealer stock which will not come until after all customer orders.

Also, dealers are not canceling customer reservations. They will maintain the order and then sell it to someone else for a bigger profit.

Well, I’m still the pessimist who is expecting his 2022 first edition to be converted to a 2023 second-year first edition. 😂😂😂

I keep hoping for something to change my mind, but supply chain issues just strain a production process that, even in normal circumstances, might be hard pressed to produce all of the orders before the 2023 models should go into production.

Hey, either way, I’m in it for the long haul. What else can we do except sit and wait … and periodically complain about the process? 🤷🏽‍♂️ 😂🤣😂

Except a reservation is not an order. A reservation means exactly nothing except something to brag to media and stockholders about. Unless a customer actually flips it to an order, nothing will ever be built, so a dealer cant do what you are describing.

When I went to my dealer to get my XLT Hybrid ordered, my salesman said that Ford had changed the process by requiring a driver's license to accompany the order. Apparently there were too many orders for people who didn't exist, to help boost the dealer's stock.

I am an October 13 order.

I am expecting mine next Aug/Sept, or potentially later.

My Bronco is scheduled to be built on 1/17 so hopefully I'll have that to hold me over.

Same with me. Dealer required a copy of my drivers license. Anybody know when this policy changed?

Ha Ha Ha. How do you think the dealers are getting the ones on their lot with huge markups that have been posted on this forum?

Also, if they were getting 60 to 65% cancellations, why would Ford close hybrid orders 11/15?

For the Maverick? All orders have required the DL.
If dealerships are now just getting them they were sent to the principal’s office for not following directions.
