Cold start, idle, revs:

Warm Idle:

Ez, quick install.

Happy with the outcome and resulting sound.

At idle, its just noticeable in the cab. And outside at the rear, noticeable (esp at cold idle), but not what I consider "loud".

I tried to get clips from the same/similar distance and location for stock, straight pipe, and with @MRTperformance exhaust.

Btw, as you'll notice in the last clip, it will fuel/ignition cut when you go Full throttle when revving it in Park. (not sure if that changes in Neut or not). So, don't be scared to mash the pedal for a few good revs. ;) I actually would have liked to hear it rev to red-line... oh well.

During cruising speeds/rpms, 55-65 mph/2,000-2500 RPM with minimal load, its hardly noticeable, almost not noticeable at all in cab.

Under a load and a hard accel, you hear it and know its doing something. I like it a lot, and its the sound and volume I was after.

On decel (coasting down a grade), in 3rd gear, at ~3200-3500 RPM there is some in-cab 'drone', but nothing that will bother me. About what I'd expect. You can still have a normal conversation w/o having to change your voice/volume.
Outside of that specific RPM range there is minimal drone.

Overall driving experience is better/more enjoyable, to me.

No noticeable change in performance/power, but I didn't expect any.

I'm happy so far, and glad I went with a muffled version.

Sounds great! Good tone out of that system. Had an MRT exhaust on my Focus ST back in the day and had a similar thing with the drone. It was a very specific rev range and depended on load too.

Have you checked fuel mileage on a trip to see if there were any gains?

Not going to say its due to the exhaust.
But I just did a bit of a day-road trip today. All highway, mostly 55+ mph, and some 75+ freeway. Through the mountains, through the twisties, mostly in Sport and Lobo mode, and enjoying the drive.

27 MPG calculated. I have only seen 27+ once before, when I first picked it up from the Dealer (which involved lots of highway and Eco mode).

Curious, not making fun:
Why do some people want their vehicles to be loud? I mean actual reasons other than "I Like it".

There are performance reasons - better mpg, more horsepower.

For me, however, I feel more connected to the Maverick. I found it difficult to shift a manual transmission vehicle without hearing the engine revs. I use the paddle shifters in my Maverick and shift by sound. Louder exhaust notes help my aging ears hear the rpm’s.

Why do some folks shift an automatic transmission? Different thread:)

Why do some folks listen to loud music in their vehicles? I did that in my youth:)

I just like it, is enough for me. :p
I'm not here to justify or argue it with anyone. Mostly sharing my experience, to allow others interested to make a decision either way.

Its a good supporting mod for reducing restrictions, which can become important when tuning gets involved. Whether it really matters on the stock Turbo is another thing..
But, with a higher flow air filter, and with any additional boost/turbo sizing increases, then reducing the exhaust restriction will become more useful.

I like the sound of a 4 cylinder, its my only 4 wheel'd auto, and i drive it for recreation as well. So I just want to hear a bit more than what the stock exhaust produces.

I don't mind supporting a local/USA company where possible as well.

Thank you @MRTperformance for a good price, product, and supporting the community. (y)

lok at all the Rams with wrecked exhaust systems( they sound like shit) you can get a ticket for too loud an exhaust,Ran construction equipment with those rattly little Cummins diesels, grew to hate that racket, when Ford first put the little Cummins in their single axle dumptruck the chief complaint was the noise and racket the little Cummins made, now I have to admit dodge and ram did a good job on the exhaust systems on the stock rams, the modified rams are as obnoxious as most harleys.

its a question of how obnoxious this racket is when people are around.

To be straight forward, the 'cold idle' portrayed in the video posted is a bit noisy. And I think the 2025 engines/tune are even more so. Maybe due to tuning for warming up the cats and possibly for those with particulate filters (not sure if they have separate tuning for those with and without the GPF).

The warm idle is fine, and quiets down quite a bit as it comes off the high-idle.

Normal cruising RPM with minimal load is quiet.

Medium load/throttle will let you know its doing something.

Under a heavy load it will make some noise.

A WOT launch will make some noise, but you're moving then, so it will fade away from the external observers PoV. But won't make pedestrians ears bleed like a straight-piped Harley leaving a stop light/sign.

But if you need to be quiet, run Eco mode and be light on the throttle.
Eco mode will up-shift early and keep the Rs low.

After more time with it now, the cold idle is the loudest part of this exhaust overall. But I only idle for 30-90 seconds typically, then I'm in gear and idling down the street to allow it to warm up, where it quiets down.

I’m still working on quieting mine down. In the meantime, I crack my garage door open about a foot during the cold start and open fully when low idle kicks in:)
