Highest price for a lariat maverick EVER

It's shocking what an entry level model pickup can be priced at when slapping on just a few extra gadgets and trim. In my mind; if you're paying more than $30k for any trim level of Maverick, you've been had. Once you get above that, there are MANY better equipped, more capable, better materials, better ride pickups to choose from at the same price point.

Are you sure about the better ride part ? Mine rides pretty darn nice.

Not sure l get your comment. I wanted a Maverick and l wanted it with all the boxes checked. In 23 without a dealer markup ( had to gonout of state to get that), it was 35 ish loaded. Today, that's likely 42 with less stuff. However, my point is, thats the vehicle l wanted and that's how l wanted it. It wasn't about " is there a better value" , am l getting not enough for my money. I have other cars. No ones opinion about value matters. Everybody has different ideas about that. But thanks for your opinion I n the matter.

Right. I don't know how, unless you bought the base model hybrid with no options, where it was less than 25 with dealer markup. I bought a hybrid Lariat, waited 11 months, bought it out of state (from someone I knew who manages a dealership so I wouldn't have to pay 6 to 10K over they were asking in L.A.) , and with everything, and I mean everything from Sunroof to Tri-fold, it was 35,800 with shipping, no tax (base near 29, without shipping, 6+ in options).

I guess you have to read this thread from the beginning to "get" the context of my statement?

You are not getting a Lariat for $30k, you are spending an extra $15-20k to get Lariat "trim" and a few other bolt-on things but basically the same exact footprint as the XL hybrid with a different facade. Facade means window-dressing. Window-dressing means superficial. Superficial means situated or occurring on the skin or immediately beneath it.

I keep using myself as the yardstick. I always forget that some people use their vehicle as a facade in an attempt to fool/impress others as to their social status, and then present the usual stories/excuses of why they do this so as to not appear to be participating in one or more of the deadly sins. Myself included; "look how sensible and aware I am. I'm...better than you".

Again, I think all Maverick buyers should not even think about getting an Xl or XLT and just go right to the Lariat with all options. It's less than $50k, so it's a STEAL.

Go to the Ford website and do the "build and price". That is what I did to get this screen shot. Granted, I DID try to max out the options to get the highest possible MSRP in an attempt to reach $50k, and a lot of the add-ons are much cheaper when not bought from Ford; tonneau cover, racks, etc.

But I assure you, the price in the screen shot is from the Ford website.

there was never anyone that bought a maverick (cheapest truck on the market no matter what trim that's comparable in options) that went and said "you know what I saved so much on this maverick I'm going to just get every option available" EVER.
