What if I already have them replaced and need them done again but are no longer covered by warranty?
You've hit 10 yrs or 150K?!!

I had them both replaced on my hybrid almost 2 years ago. The drivers side has issues now. The replacement ones had 12 month 12000 mile warranty. Truck has 78000 miles on it.

Since you have exceed the original 5 year 60,000 mile warranty - IF your truck was built in the stated date ranges you have an additional ONE Time additional free replacement left for up to 10 years or 150,000 miles

I'm having this done right now with 57k on the truck and the service advisor told me yesterday afternoon that it would be covered under the CSP. I pushed back and said that should be under factory 60k powertrain warranty and then I'll have the CSP replacement for later. That's the whole point of it being 10 years / 150k miles!

... I haven't heard back from them yet. They were expecting the parts today, so I'll call them shortly.

They probably want to see if the exact same supplier with the exact same design and QC checks magically provided better versions that will avoid a recall.

Seems they would have some stats showing that is a hopeless desire.

Or they've done the math and so far the 23/24MY owners seem to be less high mileage, and many more may just make it past the warranty periods.
what I find strange is that the build date range starts in Dec ‘21 but if I remember correctly, Mav production started in Sep ‘21 (My build date was Oct ‘21 ). Why would they not start the range at beginning of production ? That’s only represents another ~ 15k vehicles.

I'm replying to myself, I know.

But I just got confirmation that my work is being done under factory powertrain warranty and not this CSP. And, it's expected to be done today, having gone in yesterday, so they got the parts in one day. I have no idea if it was overnight shipped (doubt it), local depot, or they already had some axles inbound anticipating needing them.

Were hybrids started later than EB's perhaps - and main focus here is on hybrids?

Would be interesting if very early production runs had a different axle, that hasn't shown any / as many issues?

You had a replacement yet?

the main focus isn't on hybrids as both hybrid and ecoboost are covered, and have had issues.

...and his question is a good one IMHO.

presumably Ford thinks they know of an issue affecting certain batches of production. I would be pretty annoyed if I had an early production vehicle that was excluded, because I don't think it's a production issue. I think it's a design flaw, a combination of a bad joint design and a flimsy boot.

54,000 miles. Still have the original pieces. Maybe you are on to something with those earliest builds…

Has anyone taken in a lifted Maverick for replacement? Did they cover it under this CSP?
I have the 2" lift and originally told by the dealership that the aftermarket lift disqualified the warranty. I returned to 4WParts and I had to wait 6 weeks but.... the dealership that they work with replaced them. Now, another 20K miles and it's the hippy hippy shakes all over again.
**Mind you, it's the same lift kit they offer at the dealership and it was noted on my sales receipt that I intended to lift it and they all told me, now problem. I wrote checks to their 3rd party desk and they could never deliver the items I had purchased. they eventually gave me my check back...

can't answer the lifted question, because I'm lowered. but I will say my dealership has never commented on my modifications. actually, neither of them. I bought from a dealership 10 miles away and because it's so convenient and they have done me well, I've also used another dealership for service that's almost literally across the street (3/4 mile).

I am curious about your first repair, sounds like under factory powertrain warranty. did you uninstall the lift, get the CV axles replaced under factory powertrain warranty... and then reinstall the lift?

if that is what you did I am afraid you're probably going to have to remove the lift again if you want it covered under the CSP as you kinda set a precedent for it.

or you could just pay out of pocket for tremor cv axles and see how much better they hold up.

Is yours prior to the Dec '21 build date too?

What are the odds a sticker is still readable on those oldest ones...

I actually do not know how tne 4 Wheel Parts guys managed it I didn't get any paperwork from the dealer. I didn't want to know if they did do everything above board.
I am dropping the truck off at the dealer next week for the recalls and they are going to check it then. If it's not covered as is, then my mechanic will do the change out. I have an extended 3rd party warranty, too.
