Tire pressure when hot.

It sounds like some of y’all forgot change your winter air for summer air. Summer air only goes up 2psi when hot. The winter air is calibrated for the 4psi gain die to the lower average temps. Those of us in Florida run summer air year round. Back when I lived up North I’d change my tire air 4 times a year to keep my tires smelling fresh. My previous car was an Audi and German engineers figured out a way to use the ABS sensors to calculate a drop in tire pressure based on a change of distance traveled by each tire. The last sentence is actually true.

I was reading somewhere that all TPMS are the same and they won't actually give you a danger warning until it's under 24 or 26 PSI or something.... basically low enough to derim the tire.

The sensor doesn't give a warning - as it's not programmed with what that specific wheel it's in should have as a recommended and low tire pressures.

The system reading the TPMS sensors have the warning trigger programmed, and reprogrammable, in them.

So long as the frequency is correct, ya they are the same.
Like my Rav4 which only says 1 is low but not which one, if you actually get a sensor reader you have the values sent - they just didn't design the system to display the values.

And it's lower than 24 IIRC, seems like I didn't get a warning on a slow leak until it was 17, which is probably some even metric value.
And it was lower than that and didn't derim - so there is range to drive smart and get to level spot.

TPMS stands for Tire Pressure Monitoring System, it's shorthand to refer to the sensors as such, and assuming I was referring to them is your mistake.

So you thought all TPMS (Systems) are set for the same level for warnings?
What about cars that have 28 PSI, and trucks that have 45 PSI recommended?
