Do you tow with your Maverick?

In this article, Ford's Alan Clarke is quoted : "Less than 25% of Maverick owners have towed a single time in the life of the vehicle."

Presumably the statement is based on telematic data, but I wonder if it reflects MTC members' usage.

The hitch on my Maverick is still a virgin. We have one F-150 that's a dedicated tow vehicle for a two horse trailer, and I always use my 2011 F-150 work truck to pull my 10' utility trailer even though the Maverick would be perfectly capable.

16 foot UTV trailer. Carry the side by side and a Yamaha ATV. Weight at the scales 2,100. A smidge over the 2,000, but meh. Stops just fine and tows the trailer easily.

Voted often as rarely did not work either. Often in the winter, seldom in the summer. lol,,, I tow a 13' hybrid snowmobile trailer with two 4 stroke sleds.

Same as @lm126027. During snowmobile season I tow nearly every weekend, but once warm weather comes it's basically never.

That will change next year when I buy a quad and small utility trailer.

I got an F350 to tow with usually. However I used the Maverick with a trailer while the F350 was down for a blown intercooler pipe. Maverick tows fine, plenty of power but towing puts a serious dent in the fuel mileage.

Same. Before someone asks what that has to do with towing... it just turns off the telematics unit. No calls to home base. (And lessens the chances of 12v battery problems by 75%)

I tow a 3k high profile 9 foot tall toy hauler regularly in the mountain west with a FWD hybrid.

Trailer has brakes and I added a 7-pin connector and brake controller.

MPG is 18 at 65 MPH.
MPG is 20 at 60 MPH.
MPH is 23 at 55 MPH.

Just towed through a long 6 mile construction zone. I set to 45 MPH for a long stretch.

I got 36 MPG towing at 45 MPH.

I tow a 3,500 boat/trailer three times a week; about 6 miles total per day. Sometimes longer if I go to a different boat ramp. Tow fine, stopping is another story, even with surge brakes...............

With my EcoBoost, I get around 18 mpg towing my 2900 pound Scamp travel trailer.
