Towes my Bayliner no problem. Of course it's all flat to the lake.

Hi - Not sure how to do this as I am new to the club. My new Hybrid arrives in two weeks. I cannot find any information on the hitch that comes with it so I hope you can help. Did you have your Hybrid re-wired to accommodate the 7pin connector in order to activate the brake controller ? Did you change the receiver or did you just use the one that was installed ? The trailer I want to order weights right at 2000 pounds with no cargo (water, clothes, etc.). I know I can only have two passengers and maybe 200 pounds of gear, food, etc. in the bed. The trailer is already equipped with electric brakes, andI know the Hybrid did not come with a brake controller. Any info you can give me on how you did your set up would be greatly appreciated. I am downsizing from a 24' motorhome - towing a car.
Yes I added my own brake controller.
Traveling and towing this week. So I need to be brief. But it's easy to add one and a 7-pin hook-up.

You don't need to use more then your 4 pin connector. Install a "Autowbrake - Trailer Mounted Electric Brake Control" on the trailer tongue and power the brake circuit off the 12 volt bed power outlet.

I towed it in its trailer a little bit, but haven't quite broken in the drive train yet.

Piece-O-Cake.

That little glider trailer probably boosted your mpg! 😉

Kills me to not be seeing 40+mpg, but for towing over recommended for 430 miles and hardly ever felt like there was a trailer there, I’d call it a win.

7’x12’ towed great. Just gave a little more room for stopping. Got about 30mpg.

Wow.

I have one kind of like that and get more like 20 MPG (on the freeway).

Did you keep it 55 MPH and under? Lots of back roads maybe?

And... how did it go??

Trailer and SXS weighs 1900+#, so right close to the 2k limit. Towed fine even in bad weather but does prefer 55 a lot more than 75 MPH. Greatly reduces MPG but still much better than a full size truck could attain. Quite impressed with this MY24 but would appreciate the MY25 Hybrid AWD with 4k towing upgrade.

Ford Maverick What have you towed with your hybrid? Trailer

Towed this to Arizona and back about 2000 miles. The bike is about 700 pounds and the trailer is 300. It did great and got better than 30 mpg. The only problem was getting whacked by some kind of road debris that cost over $4K to fix. Never saw what it was.

Towed my Tracker 170 (about 2,000 lb with gear/gas on board) from between Baltimore and DC to Lake Anna in Virginia, to Richmond, and back on it's first long tow. Averaged about 28-29 mpg with 2025 XLT AWD Hybrid with 4K tow. I added electric brakes to the trailer - handled great - better than my old 2010 STX SCAB with 4.6L/4 speed (about 14 mpg towing). I've had no problems backing up my driveway.
