I had NO dealer added fees or options.
I had lots of fees - tints, nitro, upholstery & paint protection, lifetime oil changes, doc fees, dealer prep etc etc.

I gave them an OTD price based on MSRP & Tax only - with a generous allowance for my trade and told them I don’t like to negotiate. My Corolla trade was in mint condition & I was ready to keep it. Oh well, they grudgingly took my offer:)

I think having a wonderful personality helped!

Huh? 2024 was also rated at 250. Give up trying to claim less. Or stop believing what AI tells you.

Good for you.

Sounds like you are a good negotiator. Always read the papers you have to sign. Sometimes they sneak stuff back in. My mindset is
that I don't need this vehicle I can walk away anytime. They need to make a sale. Always be professional, although a little drama can help 😉

Looks like even some dealers are confused. I hope 25 EcoBoost are 250 hp. Don't want to short change any one. Guess I was confused as well. I recall some thread about changes to the 25 Eco.

Ford themselves are to blame for originally saying 238hp during the product launch. Many YouTube reviewers complained about the weaker engine. All those old YouTube videos are still out there & many websites say 238hp.

But Ford soon backtracked and said “oops” we meant 250hp. So any references to 238hp can be ignored for being outdated.

Today I still see reviewers state 238hp. Shows their lack of study into the issue.

I heard the 238HP came from some environment particular filter added or so

Thanks for explanation. It was a YouTube video I saw that mentioned it. Also mentioned fuel injection and aluminum block changes. Think I was trying to see if the Tremor had a bigger radiator or transmission cooling system when I came across that video.

You are correct sir. I think.
Originally, supposedly, Ford lowered the HP to 238 because of the Gas Particulate Filter that was/is due to begin this year.

Then, after further “analysis” and uproar - the engineers put it back to 250hp where remains to this day.

Interesting also is the all new EB engine has a slightly smaller size than the previous - 1.92 liters vs 1.98…both close enough to call them 2.0 liters though. Not sure if that also had any bearing on the 238 snafu.

Yes, end of year sales are plentiful & busy.

But sometimes a slow time on a slow weekday in a slow month is the best. Just do your homework!

Know what your trade is worth & tell then that is part of deal. You tell them not vice versa.

Then eliminate all the dealer adds ons, dealer prep, and ALL the other fees. MSRP & Tax is your base.

Know your credit score - hopefully top tier:) If not, you have time to get it there. You tell them your payment will be. Make it reasonable - but low enough for them to agree.

Then be truly prepared to walk if they don’t accept your terms. Make your offer right on the hairy edge of the dealer saying no. That is where doing your homework pays off.

Have fun preparing for an awesome deal if Tremor demand sucks!
Thanks, that sounds like good advice.

Sorry to spoil the party but I gave them a call and they have 3.5k of added nonsense like nitrogen tries and paint protection stuff added on but not reflected in the online price.
I figured at the price the OP showed they had to be adding back on the usual no value garbage.

It's crazy that dealers grilling you in a finance / closer office for HOURS not letting you back out of paint protection or some stupid anti-theft device they probably screwed into the dash is still a thing. Getting in and out of Granger without any of that nonsense was the only good day I have at an auto dealer in my life.

If only stealers were honest.....This happens really. Dishonestly runs deep at all stealers.
