Had some time now with the 235/65 R17 Firestone Destination AT2 tires. Past fill up I averaged just over 35mpg (410 miles and it took 11.6 gallons) and that was with about 60% city and 40% highway (70-75mph) with outside temperatures ranging from 85-100. I currently have just over 2,400 miles on her (1400 with the Firestones). Very impressed with the tires and the Hybrid AWD!

Glad to hear you like those tires too! Have the same on my truck but with a 70 aspect ratio. They've been great!

Keep in mind the larger size means your odometer is under reporting the distance traveled. You'll need to adjust the miles by the circumference difference (percentage) to accurate calculate the mileage.

Compared to the factory size of 225/65-17 (most non-Lariat Hybrids), the 235/65-17 is 1.8% larger, so multiply your distance traveled by 1.018 when calculating your mileage. - That's assuming you haven't adjusted the tire size in the PCM/BCM. Not a huge difference in your case, only going up 10mm in width using the same ratio tire, but it does make your milage 36 vs 35. (Every little bit helps!)

Nice. Was thinking about doing the same and with this tire when my originals wear off a little more. Do you happen to have a before and after pics?

Let me hear about the "Road Roar", is it noisy?

Destinations are what I like, just not as nice as Bridgestone Duelers.

There is a little more noise than stock but not much. Can hardly tell. I think they are the perfect lightweight AT tire for the hybrid.

Sweet!
I was looking at replacing the stock Continentals with the AT2 with a stock build. Looking good although I might stick to the 225 instead of 235..

What kind of mileage were you getting with the stock Continental tires?

Truthfully about the same. Only had the stock tires for 1000 miles. The 225 version is the same weight as the stock tires. I think 235s look a little better than the stock size.

Those look great, I was just at my tire shop looking into 245/65 R17 size of that same Destination AT/2. that Tire and at 235 certainly beefs the look up really nicely so maybe i'll drop back 1 size.

The 235s are great and 28lbs each. Only 4lbs more a tire than stock.

I really like the look. Been thinking of this for my 25 XL AWD Hybrid. The one thing I can't come to terms with is the tire size values in the BCM etc. Did you change your BCM with Forscan when you swapped? From what I've read the max allowable circumference is 2270mm. Every single tire calculator has the 235/65 17 tires as over 2310mm. Heck, even my stock 225/65 17 show as 2273mm in the tire calculator. For this combo are folks just setting to max and not worrying about the last 40mm or so?
