Now for the biggest change! Installed a set of 17x8 Fifteen52 Metrix MT Bronze wheels shod with 235/65R-17 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W SL. I also bought new TPM sensors and lug kit as well. Ordered through TireRack and installed at Discount Tire (which are the same company now😲). It was a bit of a...
Been a while since I sent an update. Bought a no name console divider AMZ Console Divider. For a off-brand item it works just fine. I was kind of unaware just how deep the console was! The divider creates 3 separate storage areas.
One of the local shops recommended a guy in NoCo that can reprogram the tire size. He works mobile so can come to where the truck is to do the update. He quoted $259 to do the work, more than an OBD II reader but cheaper than a laptop.
Interesting find on the sway bar. Corollary to that would be that maybe there's a wider selection to choose from to better tune the suspension???? Is there a place to post that tidbit for all to see?
They might have replaced the CV's with the new type like the tremor and hybrids now have.
I found Good-Win Racing has a levelling spring kit. They are 180 bs springs and give 1.25" lift. I've been thinking about them, just waiting for response to confirm the lift the Hybrid by 1.25" and don't require any mounting changes for brake lines, cables, or sway bar links. They also have...
Short term I can live with the difference, just like things exact. Guess I'm a little retentive that way
Anyway, time to read through the guides on what to get and go it alone. 😨
Anyone know if dealer would do this, since replacements tires are an available size option for the model...
Interesting so the .6" difference is only about a 1/2 mph at 30. My concern is what this does to mpg calculations and the computer. For instance the BCM knows that 225/65 are 2207ish mm circumference, while putting the 235 moves that to 2232mm so about an inch more per revolution. How does...
Upfront I want to say sorry if this request is not appropriate for MTC forums. I have a new set of 235/65r17s coming for my 2025 XL Hybrid AWD 4K. These are obviously different than my stock 225/65r17s. I was hoping there might be someone in the NOCO area that might have a Forscan set up that...
Well this time it's all about the plastic stuff. But first, I hit the first 1K miles after 4 months of ownership. Yes I know, I don't drive very much anymore. But I'm really happy with the 38 mpg I've gotten so far.
Bought the Maxina Drain Grills AMZ Grills . These fit fine for me, didn't...
I've been eyeballing these for a bit. Never noticed thumbs down
If you look at them without the reverse or stop light kind of looks like a stylized "F" though.
Todays update:
Decided it was time to use the 12 volt pigtail that came with the truck so I added an Amazon bed cubby with USB and accessory power on the driver side. The storage bin is cheaper alternative and only uses the original 4 bolts. Seems decent only time will tell, but I chose it...
I've been trying to figure something similar. Multi-function extender, ramps (unequal length tri-fold), bed divider, ladder, and seat back for pillows when truck bed lounging. Might even function as a attachment point for bags etc. kinda' like a molle panel. The goal is that they could be...
That's exactly were I went after I read your post. You can find the revs per mile for 90% of the tires there. Way different than just mathin' the diameter, which is what the calculators do.
Installed the Mabett under body shield. Overall fit and finish were good. Some concerns during install, since the rear most part ends up pressing against the black steel piece at the bumper. The spacing seemed to be minimized by the time I get it all tightened up. Just difficult getting the...
Thanks for the clarification. Very interesting when you look at the revs per mile it is way different than the tire calculators. Even though the sizes/dimensions are listed as the same, in this case 28.5 diameter, the calculators show 709 revs per mile where the tire info sheets show 729. No...
I've been thinking about doing this as well.
My question for the experts revolve around the circumference of these various tires. I think in one of Matmondro's posts he stated he couldn't change the settings greater than 2270mm circumference with forscan. Looking at tire size calculators it...
Adds for this week.
- Re-positioned D-rings on side wall of the bed.
What should have been a 10 minute job took 6 hours due to a junk tap. I was chasing threads due to the spray in bed liner. Finally got it out but banged up some of the threads. Luckily I was able to thread in a bolt and...
I really like the look. Been thinking of this for my 25 XL AWD Hybrid. The one thing I can't come to terms with is the tire size values in the BCM etc. Did you change your BCM with Forscan when you swapped? From what I've read the max allowable circumference is 2270mm. Every single tire...
