it read much the same way in his F150LEDs post, and that vendor replied. however, that vendor is a forum sponsor, and CBI Offroad Fab isn't... sooooo.. yeah.
Good call on the research. I didn’t read that post because I wasn’t interested in the lights . And I don’t know who the forum sponsors are.

I worked with a young man who mounted his satellite internet dish on his roof. I asked if he was afraid his roof would leak with screw holes in it. He said "no because I nailed a piece of 2x12 to the roof then caulked around it and mounted the dish to the 2x12." That was 3 years ago. Wonder if that is leaking by now?
Mounted the dish to his truck or house? Hey, you never know now a days! We are being infested by low-lifes! 👽 🤔

Many post here are ADs on the sly. Guys that are sponsored or want to make a buck with 3D printing some useless cover. With the bed and hitch, not many of use are going to want a premium roof rack. Looks like a real "drag" for fuel mileage too.

I purchased this roof rack a few weeks ago. I bought it directly from Prinsu for $860 with free shipping. A friend has one on his Tacoma and he loves it. I was on the fence on buying it because their website states it hasn't been tested on Mavericks that have a moonroof. After speaking with them directly, they informed me that the roof rack will work as intended on Mavericks that come equipped with a moonroof.

I can't wait to have it installed.

I work for a company that does security cameras, among many other things.

We have a strict policy about never penetrating the roof of a building. *Ever*. Various camera manufacturers have parapet mounts made to do this. We tell the customers if they want that, have a roofing company install it, and take responsibility for any leaks. Because it'll definitely leak if not done exactly right. And it'll probably eventually leak even if it's done exactly right, given enough time.

That's what he's done to the roof of his Maverick, and then tried to sell us on it without actually mentioning this crucial detail. 😆

it's likely when, not if, it starts leaking.
Trucks are drilled into to mount roof racks and things ALL THE TIME. The only ones that leak are by the inexperienced DIY people who had to go buy their first drill to do it.

I've only ever mounted roof racks on vehicles that have factory-supplied roof rails, or used towers that clamp onto the roof itself (a long, long time ago on a sedan). No drilling in either case.

you'd think that they would post that on their website and not turn away potential business, you might have been the only person to pursue it with them...I'd have asked if they have actually installed this on a moon roof mav or if they're just guessing....

Installation
The install was simple and well thought out. Unlike some other roof racks, there’s no need to drop the headliner, which makes the process much faster and less stressful. All the parts were clearly labeled, and the fit was spot on. I had it installed in a couple of hours using basic tools.

Build Quality and Versatility
The all-aluminum construction is lightweight but impressively strong. The crossbars are fully modular and feature drop-in slots that make mounting gear quick and easy. Whether you're running a full overland setup or just need some extra utility, this rack is built to handle it.

Aesthetic Upgrade
This rack doesn’t just add function—it completely changes the look of the truck. The low-profile design blends perfectly with the Maverick’s lines and gives it a more aggressive, capable appearance. It makes the truck look like it's ready for anything.

Save with Code MAVTRUCK
One more reason to pull the trigger: using code mavtruck at checkout knocks $48 off the price. It’s a solid discount on an already high-quality upgrade.

Final Thoughts
The Prinsu rack adds both style and substance to the Maverick. It’s strong, easy to install, and fully customizable for whatever you want to mount. If you're looking to elevate your build, this rack delivers—and that extra savings doesn’t hurt either.

Totally fair questions — I appreciate you calling that out.

To clarify, I’m not sponsored by CBI Offroad Fab. I purchased the rack myself. I do have a discount code (MAVTRUCK) that anyone can use through an Instagram page I run, but this wasn’t a paid post.

You’re right that drilling is a big factor and I should have mentioned that more clearly in the original write-up. Yes, it requires drilling into the roof and installing rivet nuts. That’s definitely not for everyone. If you’re not comfortable drilling into the body, this probably isn’t the rack for you.

For me personally, I was comfortable with the process and sealed everything properly, but I completely understand why some people would pass — especially with concerns about long-term leaks.

My intention was just to share my install experience and give a heads-up about the sale for anyone already considering one. No hidden agenda — just sharing what worked for me.
