Got the Maverick to haul 2 Kawasaki Z125 Pros. Was able to fit both with the tailgate half up. Hopes this helps some people

Cool you gave me some ideas on how to protect my tail gate and plastic when I get my new moto ramps (cardboard, and/or some old cotton socks). I'll have a WR250R in back. How are you strapping them down? from handle bars to the front hooks? Or to the Pegs?

I learned about and tried the pegs trick, it worked quite well-better than I expected, but it did allow the front wheel to turn as it wasn't wedged into the front of the box to keep it in place. I may try to handle bars next time (or a combo of the two for longer distance/rougher roads)?
I'm also getting LineX done, so hoping that will keep the front tire from wanting to 'wander' around some since it should grip the spray -in liner better.

  yea I had some cheap ramps that had really sharp edges, so it’s what I had at the time.
  I tied them down from the handle bars to the rails I installed. Wasn’t very confident in how they were tied down but I only had a couple miles so I wasn’t to worried but would definitely have to tie them better for long hauls.

Re: "Did you ride them up...?" Did that once (when I was young & foolish) loading my '72 Kawasaki Mach III into my '68 El Camino. It did NOT go well. Fortunately the injuries were very minor.

Bikes are 220 lbs wasn’t too bad. Plus I have a wife that can bench 250 so that helps

I rode my WRR up into mine on a wide ATV ramp. no problem.

I'm a bit hesitant on a 12" wide ramp, but may try it after I feel it out.
I've ridden similar features on single track trails...but its different when you involve a new pickup, and its not just a matter of dropping the moto into some rocks and dirt.

I'll probably be walking/pushing (or clutching) it up/down using two ramps for now.
No need to drop the moto into the side of the pickup. haha

I lusted after the 916, then the 996 and 998, but I could never afford one. In the end, I bought a lightly used RSV Mille and I always regretted it. The rotax engine was, meh. With 60 degree V it didn’t have the small block V8 sound of a Duc. It wouldn’t pull smoothly
Under 4,500 rpm. At low rpm it felt like the counter balancer was gone and it was shaking itself apart.

I hear you — that’s exactly why I love the Ducati 998. The sound, the pull, the balance... it’s a masterpiece. Nothing quite like that 90° V-twin at 4,000 RPM snarling through a proper exhaust.

10,000 RPM = MUSIC

Glad I held out for it — it delivers every time
