Man.. I wish I still had dirt bikes... for reference, what is the length of your bikes from the front of the wheel to the contact patch on the back tire? Hoping my bike will fit in the back and this way I could measure mine and see...

Very nice Blackie!
Am wondering if my 2 motorcycle hitch carrier will work for our CRF450L’s. Even with airbags in the spring coils it might be too much leverage on the hitch… & the Mav in general. I’ll have to look up the tongue weight.
Pics: 3 bikes in my son’s RAM Warlock bed & 1 on a single hitch carrier. They fit better in my Transit 350HD, but I’m selling it.

…or maybe one carrier on the front & one on the back of the Mav to balance things out & have the bed free for gear?

Congrats Blackie! Looks sick, Best thread yet!! These pics answered my main question of wondering how my Husqvarna will be fitting in my cactus grey maverick that’s on order. I’m over measuring the motorcycles knob to knob and looking up truck bed dimensions. The ultimate Maverick accessory….”a Moto” 💯

This is my truck, just picked it up 3 days ago. The two motorcycles in the bed are a Honda 450 and a KTM 300. Fit very well. Put them in just to check if two would fit which they did easily. The other pictures is of my 250 gasgas at the track. Truck is fantastic no issues yet and is a bike hauling machine.

well this is a very nice and unexpected surprise! After reviewing published specs I had myself 99% convinced I couldn't fit a single dirt bike in there without hanging too far off the tailgate. It was my only remaining concern about buying the Maverick- but one I was prepared to accept because everything else was perfect for my needs. Now I just need to sell my old house to generate $ to order my new Mav and Beta 300 to go with it

Thanks for posting! (y)

dude, that is awesome. Would be a deal breaker if I can’t load 2 dirt bikes in back. Only concern I see, could maybe be an optical illusion, but if you look on the side view pic, the tailgate isn’t parallel to the ground. hopefully it’s not a big deal.
also great color, i got the same on order.

Don't know who but someone has solid steel with holes (or whatever) in both ends. The tail gate in the raised position with the cables For plywood is rated 400 lbs I believe.

Bed length with tailgate down is 79 inches. Same as Gen 1 Honda Ridgeline. Both my KTM 690 Enduro and Yamaha FJ-09 measure around 72 inches from the front of the front tire to the middle of the back tire. Pics of my measurement of the Maverick and one of my former Ridgeline with the KTM in the back.

Don't forget to allow for dynamic load on cables when driving if bikes start bouncing cables may have to support extra weight (maybe if rear tire weight = 75lbs cables may need to support x2.5=187.5lbs. note that bikes won't have to leave tail gate in bouncing just going up and down. Probably need to use trailer for 2 or more bikes. I saw online a "trailer in a bag" for one or two big bikes. Tires were real small (8" rims I think) load range D requiring 80-90 psi. Ungodly rpm at 65 mph. I don't bike or have anything going with trailer guy. Just pondering how to handle loading of 1200-1500 lbs in my flexing endeavors without actually causing the bed to flex.

Great pictures, thanks for posting. My Rebel 1100 measures 82 inches. Can you please check if you can get 89 inches in total, from the upper left corner with the bed to the right end the tailgate down (total diagonal measure)? Thanks again!

The plan has always been to put my PA in the back when my Lariat Hybrid ever arrives!
