How many keys/fobs did you get?

I just text my salesman, hopefully will hear something soon. Also I didn't get an owner's manual packet, wondering if they forgot that as well?

They handed me one, and a manila folder full of paperwork, manual, window sticker etc. I was a bit disappointed at first only to get one fob.

A few days later I finally dumped out the manila folder and there was the 2nd key.

You should definitely have 2.

Both of my keys were sitting on the salesman's desk when I walked in the dealership.

Pin yours down and ask them where your other key is... Tell him you won't accept any BS and you want the truth.

I picked up my xlt last Sat. I only got one key/fob. My salesman said ford would be sending me another set. Is that consistent with others who have picked theirs up?

It's BS. Someone in his shop has the other one and is planning on stealing it off your driveway when you're least expecting it.

That's a good question. I've been stuck late at night digging through the manual to try to find out some detail. What if there is no signal? Come to think of it, why don't they set it up so you can display it on the console screen? Then again, if there is an electrical problem you wouldn't be able to view it then, either.

I'd prefer paper.

I was wondering about that because I have heard some Youtubers say the Mach E only has 1 fob because it has the "Phone as a key " feature . Hopefully that's not the case with the Maverick . I ordered the Lariat w Lariat package ie remote start etc. so I'm a little worried they will go the 1 key route as well to reduce cost or due to the chip shortage.

Mine came with two key sets at time of purchase. I wonder who at the dealership lost your other set.

So there's a good chance that there's a set of keys for your new truck floating around the dealer? I wouldn't feel comfortable with that.

Be sure to get that in writing from your dealer. I've had dealers use a "We Owe" document and we had to sign it even if it said "nothing" on it. Sounds like they lost one of the key fobs.

Or One buyer got one key fob and one truck and the other buyer got one key fob for his truck that "fell off the train"!

These may be bundled together. When I picked up my Bronco, the manuals and 2nd fob were all shrinkwrapped together in a 'kit'. They have it all there somewhere.

I'm planning to keep my FORD manual cover from my old ranger for the Mav manual. I understand that there is not a cover for the Mav manual.
