FX4 EB on stock Pirellis is a quieter with better NVH than the 2018 Jeep Compass Trailhawk on Wildpeaks I used to drive.

Just blast the stereo and u don't have to worry about ANY noise... lol jk I test drove a couple ecoboost. Didn't really notice a difference compared to our new F150/old F150/2020 Honda Civic Hatch Sport. (trying to compare something similar that's more comparable than your electric luxury car that is likely so silent that you can hear colors and see sounds) 😭🤣 When driving on the crappy access roads, the Maverick was indeed louder like our Honda. I'm with the guy who suggested the cheap sound deadening mats on amazon or if u wanna spend a little more, I'm a huge fan of Dynomat since I guess I'm trying to go deaf by 35 with deafening aftermarket subs .🤪
If you splurged to get the X, what's a few extra dollars on top of the line noise reducing mats? Do it. Just do it. 😎

I agree with what you said. Tested drive a Lariat 2.0 with FX4 package, the road noise is quite noticeable, wind noise is just okay, the the engine is roaring whenever I hit the pedal. I guess this is what we get for the price.
just crank up the radio and be done with it.

Lariat Lux/FX4 with spray in bed liner and acoustic windshield was nice and quiet. Upgraded to Lariat after driving an XLT - Sound level difference was noticeable.

I'd wager a lot of sound is coming from the back. I'd be curious to hear, no pun intended, about the difference of a bare bed vs one with spray in bed liner, the Mav rubber bed mat, and a tonneau, preferably on a Lariat that has the acoustic windshield.
Solid points. Dealing with insulating behind rear seats or pack the back using factory cleats (?) could be a help.

I wonder if anyone has seen any testing on low noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels. The first thing I noticed when I got on the Freeway the first day I picked up my Mav was how loud it was. I am not talking about the engine. You can barely hear that, but the actual noise of the tires on the road and wind noise on the windshield. I own several cars that are 2011 and newer, and the maverick is the loudest by far. And all the other vehicles have class E M&S tires that should be louder. Maybe due to being closer to the ground than the other cars I drive. I had a 2016 Tesla Model X, and I know it is an electric motor, but the inside of that car was as quiet as they come, probably a lot more aerodynamic and Dynamat throughout...
IT,S A TRUCK….NOT A $90,000 Luxury sedan! Not a realistic comparison .

Compare it to the the Toyota PU of the 80's. You had to be young and strong to put it on the highway. A long trip was exhausting.

I'd like to see a sticky on how to apply dynamat effectively. I've often thought that the difference between a Camry and a Lexus is dynamat.

Err.. no. But yes, the Lexus is quieter.

In mn I just plan on packing a bunch of emergency cold weather gear behind the back seat and keeping it there. Figured it would be dual purpose for sound dampening too.

What's your issue with continental? I've had very good experiences with them.
I had Continental and Cooper ONCE, I doubt there will be a second for either one. Continental where many years ago and Coopers weren't as long ago. Had lots of Michelins and loved the Falken on one of my F150's, best handling and ride.

In my experience in the plants- Michelin has a more Involved process in building, more layers. Continental builds plants where they get tax credits and the labor force isn’t there. They have a lot of quality issues.

on my vehicle I have never had an issue with Michelin. Quiet too.

Interesting. The stock yokohamas on my mazda almost killed us once due to poor wet traction. They didn't last very long either. I had used continental all seasons in the past with good results and when I replaced the yokos with contientals the difference in traction was very noticeable, like someone was gluing it to the road. We literally just had the exact same experience replacing hankooks on my wife's kia with continentals as well.

I've had very good experiences with michelins as well but they are very expensive.

Which falkens? The wildpeak a/t trails look good for my needs.

I've heard different things about coopers and I guess it depends on the tires. Been using continentals for about 10 years and the only bad thing I can say is that the sidewalls are easy to puncture, but that would hold for any passenger tire.
