Yikes! Paint Chipping and Worse!

Ya I've got a few dings and pinstripes already in the 5 months I've owned my Tremor. I probably drive it a little rougher that the average though hehe

I've got a chip in my 25 already too, the paint is ridiculously thin. My Focus ST also had weak paint.

Seems that the challenge is that thin paint was ok when the mav was a "cheap" truck.

Pushing 35k or more, not sure it still makes sense.

This is the first vehicle I've owned where the paint chips on the side of it. Never seen that before. Normally just the front end.

Had mine 5 months and noticed a chip on passenger side door edge last night - the edge of the door is razor sharp, don't know how they folded metal that sharp.

No chips yet but I did use some of my Ford Points to buy a factory touch up paint pen and an Aeroskin hood protector. The paint pen matches perfectly when tried in an inconspicuous spot. Recommended.

3 years + and no paint issues yet . Just turned 10k miles and always garaged . cautious were I park in lots .

The maintenance guys at my employer weed wacked the grass next to my truck one day. I now have over 60 rock chips all down the passenger side of my truck. Guess that will teach me to park in a corner spot to try to avoid door dings. Tried to get them to take accountability for it but they told me to go pound rocks. At least now they notify us ahead of time when they will be doing lawn maintenance

Ugh, sorry this happened to you.

If it had happened to me, I'd be going after that lawn maintenance company with a head of steam. If they are a legit, they should have insurance. I can't fathom someone negligently causing such damage to my vehicle -- at no fault of my own -- and just letting it go!

Sadly it's not a lawn maintenance company, it's the county I work for that has their in house maintenance people. I fought with the county for awhile but they wouldn't budge and I couldn't prove that they did it.

Had a loud noise on roof going down highway, cpl week later wash washing , had about 1/4 “ chip on roof, must of been a stone flying through the air, don’t know where it came from, out in front or from other oncoming 2 lane traffic ?
