Maverick is less than 7 ft wide and that is at the mirrors.
If your garage door was 6 ft wide I'd consider your garage a shed.
My garage is a Carriage House built in 1901. With my 20 year old Ranger, I had ~10-12" clearance on each side. With the Maverick the clearance was at most 6" on a side. Given the icing on the incline going into the garage in the winter, that was way too scary for me.

I have the same problem at my 1970 winter home in Florida. My two car garage is just big enouth for a Ford Escape and an Ecosport. There is no way that I could replace my Ecosport with a Maverick and have enough room to get in and out of either vehicle without dinging the doors.

I would really like to get a KEI size EV that is street and highway legal in the US. I suspect that I'm not alone in wanting something like this.

Maverick is a compact truck, and I parked in a compact space at the theater with room to spare. My "Mid Sized" Cutlass is 9" longer that the Maverick.

When I got my Maverick, I had to spend $6K to install a wider garage door.
the only redeeming feature of my current house is that, being built in '67, the garage is deep enough that I have more than a foot of space between my '72 Eldorado and the workbench. (OK, being able to have a swamp cooler, being an older house, is good, too!).

I had a friend with a 1959 Cadillac. (the year with twin jet nozzles up on the massive fins)

With a continental kit.

When he had his final townhome built, they had to modify the floor plan to move a wall back on one side of the garage so it would fit!

[and, yes, as a matter of fact, it was pink. {No, it didn't come pink from the factory--1958 was the last year for that.} ]

Hmm I could put up a 9ft 4" x 17 foot building to just about park a Mav in and it would be a "shed" for our local codes.

I took measurements before making the purchase. The Maverick just fits in my garage with about 15" to spare. It sits in the same spot my 4-door Jeep Cherokee (XJ) used to be in, but the Maverick is 32.5" (!) longer than the Jeep.

So, the "Extended Size" imposed on the OP would likely encompass all vehicles longer than a mid-size SUV.
I measured also. I have about 15-18 inches between my Mav and my Spyder Rt, I f I park my Spyder well. I also have a neat guide to get my Mav parked correctly.
TBH, if I had more room, I might have bought a Honda Ridgeline. However I saved money, and I like its economy and its ride over the Honda.

A "standard" garage parking sport is 10'x20' per vehicle, with an 8'x8' door. There is plenty of room for a Maverick, which is only 199" long, or 16.5' and allows for 3.5' of shelving and clearance space. You must have an exceptionally small garage.

Don’t quite understand being Canadian, could you please put that in metres, centimetres, and millimetres? Thank you! 🤣 Just kidding of course. Being almost 70, I was brought up on the standard system, yards, feet, inches, miles, etc. The only thing I understand more is litres, cause that how gas comes,😉

That 190 inch limit takes out a LOT of popular vehicles, with some just making the cut with less than 10 inches to spare. An Outback, not a huge vehicle, comes in at just about 192 inches, the Rav4, Rogue, or Forester just make the cut with 6-7 inches at most to spare, and those are considered 'compact' vehicles. For Mustang, the smallest Ford currently sold, just squeezes in under that 190 inches, with maybe 1/2 an inch to spare.

While in comparison to all other current pickups, other than the Santa Cruz, the Maverick is quote a bit smaller, you do need to consider it is nearly as large as a full pickup was in the mid-late 90s F-150. (Or original 1950s F Series).

I actually hope the next gen gets a little bigger. Would love it to have a 5 foot bed and tow 5000lbs.

It's not just garages that are an issue. Having a small vehicle is a big plus when parking in regular surface lots or parking structures. I love my Ecosport mainly for that reason. Too bad you can't get pickups with the same dimensions as 20 years ago.

Funny guy. I would love for the next gen Mav to be smaller, at about the same size as the first-gen Ranger was, with a pass-thru to accomodate long loads into the back seat area like the Avalanche has. That would require some stiffening somewhere else, as the back of the cab is a major structural member at present.
