Could be the replacement for the discontinued Edge. Had the made a 2025, my wife and I would probably have bought one. Hmmm...https://www.autoblog.com/features/what-if-ford-revived-the-flex

Yeah, but think about this Cherokee… a lot of people didn’t wanna let go of those old things that were cool as far as vehicles…. that’s why when they come back around repackaged everybody wants to have it again. we don’t really take it hook line and sinker. It’s more of a YES…finally I’ve been waiting for this. Just look at Mustangs and Camaros. The Flex failed only because it looked like a station wagon like our parents had.
From the uncool looking station wagons of the 60’s and 70’s came the SUV and the mini van.
L O L know what SUV stands for ?
Stupid Useless Vehicle.
Nothing is new, not even our beloved Mav’s.
Everything is repackaged and presented to us as new.
And we buy it hook line and sinker.
Marketing, the science of deciding for us what we want.
I hear you, Roger that !Yeah, but think about this Cherokee… a lot of people didn’t wanna let go of those old things that were cool as far as vehicles…. that’s why when they come back around repackaged everybody wants to have it again. we don’t really take it hook line and sinker. One day some young wipper snapper will see the wing vent windows and think it is the greatest invention ever and it will be included back in vehicles of some sort again. Lots of really interesting stuff from the past like a power roll down rear window. Trunks so large you could stack 6 bodies in there with room for the shovel... Lots of really cool and interesting things from the past that would be a lot of fun to see someone grab onto them and make them new again. Some of the new cars now have headlights that turn and illuminate around corners so that is a refresh idea of sorts with a very high tech twist. A lot of those older cars had amazing engineering and artistry to them. Today everyone is driving the same bar of soap.I hear you, Roger that !
But why oh why all the complexity ?
From engine stop/starts that we cannot permanently turn OFF without buying a gizmo to the 25's fuel gage that seems to be stumping a few in here. Just to name a few.
FWIW the Camaro has been discontinued.
And I still miss wing vents and the high beam switch on the floor next to the parking brake. That worked so good.
You are so correct and that same bar of soap is either white, gray, silver or black….One day some young wipper snapper will see the wing vent windows and think it is the greatest invention ever and it will be included back in vehicles of some sort again. Don't forget to throw in a token "red" one...You are so correct and that same bar of soap is either white, gray, silver or black….![]()
I’m waiting on the Maverick Convertible Truck…
Ford only advertises the F Series.Loved my Flex. Ford didn't even bother to advertise them. Would have bought another one if it had been refreshed.
Perfect for the no mini for me crowd.
ewwe, tacky!FWIW the 1975 Ford LTD,
Seven bodies and two shovels.
