I just finished one yesterday. I had bricked two ACCM's. When I contacted Ford for answers, they mentioned that they had a few with the same issue. Engineering tweaked the software a couple of times. When it would not bring the compressor module back to life they authorized me to install another compressor. This one programmed without a hitch . I asked the hotline guy if it was safe to allow my other customers who were having the same problem to bring theirs in. He indicated that it is safe to do so because the last tweaking of the software solved the problem with it bricking the module. He then asked me to describe in detail all the things I did to that particular vehicle because I believe my vehicle was one of the guinea pigs. Anyway, it is now safe to program the modules. However, the facility needs to make certain that they have the latest update on their computer. Also the instructions for programming this module differs from that of every other module. This module is actually programmed with the engine running whereas other modules are programmed with the engine off.
That's very valuable advice, thank you! When I take mine in, I will make sure they have the latest software and leave the engine on. I appreciate your insight and for the update. Thank you very much!!!

Really appreciate all the detailed information on this issue, and for taking the time to keep us informed on the best way to proceed!

Cheers.

Really appreciate all your help on this issue. I think I'm now ready to have all the recalls done on my early '24 Lariat (Nov '23 delivery). I lost exact count but, all just software and minor I think. One question though: I pulled fuse 11 about 17 months ago to help battery last and to keep everyone out of my business. I believe this is one of the reasons I still have the OEM battery even though I've recharged it multiple times. Should I reinstall fuse 11 before taking it in?

My thoughts would be to temporarily install fuse 11 back in and remove it again after the updates if that’s your preference. May or may not make a difference, but I would assume updates are written assuming everything is stock configuration. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I called Ford Customer relations/service line today about my 2022 Hybrid doing this, Yvett said ask the dealership if they will perform SSM53801 for free as my bumper to bumper is expired. But from reading this entire thread i think I will hold off and possibly just buy a new higher CCA AGM battery. I have been doing the shutdown every time before turning the key off and when it does go in deep sleep or Remote features unavailable i charge the battery for about 4-5 hours and do the battery reset procedure. If i do decide to get the SSM done down the road i will take the advice of an earlier post and call Ford Customer relations/service line and open a CASE so it's all free even though I'm out of warranty.
I'd skip the BS reset the manual describes - which is only for a New battery.

Just let it sit locked overnight - for the BMS Relearn which is for new or charged up battery.

The reset causes some figures dealing with age of battery to be reset, which is used in the calc's for how to charge it.

Yes. Everything should be reinstalled or reconnected.

Yes,
probably the ecvt/battery/electric motors & whatever wiring excluding anything related to the ice.

In reality it's anything they can get away with NOT covering just like any other corporate entity.
Yes you are correct. It's pretty much the hybrid components that are necessary for propulsion such as the transmission, the battery, and the various modules that control the powertrain,. The compressor doesn't qualify. I assume it's because it's not required for the operation of the vehicle

The SSM didn't help. Well, it might have, but I suspect my battery is toast despite passing the test. Back in the shop now, supposedly they found the parasitic draw this time?? They are replacing the negative cable, which I seem to recall being one of the early fixes for some members here.

Two weeks left on the warranty. Think I'm going to push very hard for them to give me a longer warranty if they won't replace it.

Sometimes the battery will pass the test one day and fail 2 days later. It's rare. But it happens

I've got my fingers crossed. The past three times it's been there the service manager showed me the printout from the test machine and the battery is exactly on the 'Pass' line.

It's partially my fault for waiting this close to warranty end. Ive had deep sleep problems since the first year, I just dealt with it and didn't take it for service until six months ago. Should have started a year ago, maybe I'd be further along showing there's a repeatable problem.

Is there any way to confirm if my truck has this update? My dealer is not helping. I've had the battery replaced once and of course it has not fixed it.

Until the battery Failed a test - no, going earlier to document there was an issue wouldn't have mattered to getting a new battery under warranty.
Has to Fail, and it took rather long compared to many!

Getting the recall for the negative battery harness - yes that should have been done way back as soon as you saw battery problems.
