I've only had the Mav for about a month and using it as a daily driver to break it in. currently at 1800 miles, but will wait until 1st oil change until i stop using it as a daily. Just curious to see how everyone else uses their's.

How do i use it? All of the above. I have the motorcycle and sport car for when I feel like cheating death but I'm happy to leave my hybrid in it's currently stock high performance/efficiency state.

The Maverick is a jack of all trades vehicle, and so it gets used for a little bit of everything. No pointing in babying this kind of vehicle*, just use it.

* By this kind of vehicle I mean an entry level commuter that is in no way, sharp or form going to be collectors item some day. Modern cars do not like siting, to say the least, this isn't a 60's Mustang.

Exactly the point of the question, it can do so many things, but everyone is different. Just wanna see how others actually use it, and maybe learn new things or come up with more ideas.

Only vehicle, 4 seasons, short in-town trips most days. Short, medium and long road trips on the weekends. I haul all my trash and recycling, do some home improvement. Lots of camping gear and cooler hauling under the mid rise bed cap, iSUPs, wetsuits, ski rack, mountain bike gear. Anything stinky or wet goes back there, cab stays clean. All under the cap, I avoid the roof box but do use the hitch rack. Does it all without AWD. With snow tires It's been great in many states and storms. I have cable chains if needed. They say it's a Jack, but to me it's been Aces.

I find my true snow tires are great and I'm glad I didn't get AWD. I carry chains but haven't used them. What's a "mid rise" cap?

Mid rise ARE MX is 4" above the cab. FWD works for us but OP is in Cali. FWD isn't gonna survive the Sierra. FX4 and snows is basically mandatory.

😅I splurged a little when I went for the FX4, I actually just wanted AWD plus 4k towing but figured the FX4 package was well spent money. Already having a FWD and RWD just made sense to get something different. Plus I live in the Bay Area, no real need for 4x4 nor do I wanna drive hours just to play on some rocks, but will drive in snow, sand, and moderate trails, AWD should be just fine.

I work from home, so it's my errands and weekend camping vehicle. Despite my qualms about some of Ford's choices, I still think it's the best, most flexible vehicle on the market for me and my life.

I had two requirements:
1> It had to be four-wheel-down towable behind my class A motorhome.
2> It had to be Blue. Blue 💙 is my favorite color!
I am retired so, I will only use it for shopping & fun.

It's essentially my daily, but I do have another car to drive around for fun sometimes. But the Mav is great for groceries, I can usually just put them in the back seat. I tow my snowmobile trailer with it in the winter. It's a good road trip vehicle for when I travel up north. Sometimes it gets used on our property/farm up north too for hauling around wood or tools.
