What was the first thing you bought for your Maverick?

Firestone Destination 2 tires. Had them installed the day after I picked up my truck 10/19/23 with 80 miles on the odometer. Then Floor mats, receiver hitch tube cover, saftey belt buckle covers, center console and dash console organizer,rear underseat storage mats, Tip Top soft roll up tonneau cover, red Maverick key chain, Maybett rear trash can and mud flaps NHO undercoating & rustproofing and PPF on front of truck.
I did plenty more in the spring after the weather got nice. Still doing more and planning more.

I've had two Mavericks since launch. If I can remember correctly, the very first thing I bought for it was the bed mat, which is still in use to this day. I simply transferred it from my first Maverick to the second one. I definitely got my money's worth out of it. It's still in decent shape. Although both were Lariats and come with the heavy-duty spray-in bedliner, I bought it anyway just to keep things from rolling around in the bed.

What I regret buying for my current Maverick was a very pricey Roll N' Lock sliding tonneau cover. It set me back almost three thousand dollars! And, I made the mistake and purchased it with credit instead of from savings. Now, my outstanding balance is more than I would want it to be.

First thing added was a spray in bed liner covered by the dealer. First purchased upgrade was tint.
Later Ford Performance license plate frame and all weather floor mats.

My first purchase was a Silver’s coil over kit!

When I got my xl hybrid (2 years ago) it was still a little bit rough around the edges. It lurched a little bit when switching from electric power, coming to a stop. There was a battery connection issue that was causing no start issues and people were starting to notice the shaking under acceleration.

But, it was CHEAP, and got great mileage so I felt it was still a good buy for my circumstances.

The biggest gripe I had, was it seemed too tall, and leaned a little too much through the corners. I figured coil overs would solve the ride height/poor handling and might even end up with a decent ride.

Ford did recalls that solved the lurching, and battery cable problems.

But the vibration on acceleration other owners were experiencing, concerned me enough to postpone my suspension modification plans.

After a few months, it was clear to me, that we were going to have an issue with cv axles. I decided to wait until the power train warranty was expired or my cv axles needed replacement.

I finally had the axles replaced at 50k and installed the lowering kit.
12k miles later and I couldn’t be happier. It did take me a WHILE to get all the adjustments figured out, but this was my first attempt at lowering a vehicle.

I bought the Rough country hard flip tonneau cover because I wanted the bed to be usable as a secured trunk while also being available to use for tall items if I needed to. I think my next purchase will be the swing tool box mounted on the left side. I sometimes do side jobs, and need a small tool box.

Bedrug - protects the bed as well or better than any other option I have seen or tried, saves my kness if I chose to crawl into the bed, and looks terrific!! It's my fourth vehicle with a BedRug product, I recommend them highly!!

I ordered Weather Tech laser fit floor mats (both front and back) and Weather Tech mud flaps at the same time. I have a set of the door tray liners on their way.

I put floor mats on the build sheet. Things can get out of hand quickly so do be conservative. I don't have tailgate assist or lettering. There's a lot I don't have and still pushing 5k. I just went a year with nothing added but I just upgraded the front speakers.

Fender Flares. Really makes a big difference. If you have enough Ford Points you can get them free... Tinted front windows, black tailgate letters, hood protector, tonneau cover, mud flaps. There is no end really but I'm done. We like it.
