  1. Bed mat recommendations (Ford, Lasfit,3W)

I've said it before, but I am still a huge Bedrug fan, and recommend it highly.
  2. How many have needed to tow a trailer.

I bought my 24 XLT specifically to tow a 4x6 enclosed trailer. It weighs 1650lbs when loaded with Band equipment. Tow it most weekends once or twice, 50 to 150 miles one way. Only problem I have had is the trailer tow module, which has been fixed after the recall. Tows fine, handles fine...
  3. Michelin Defender Tires?

I put Michelin Defenders on my 2024 Maverick the day I brought it home from the dealer and couldn't be happier. It is my go to tire. I use Michelin Ice-X in the winter. No issues or complaints. Quiet ride, handle well, seem to be wearing well.(have used the combination on previous vehicles...
  4. What Was Your First Maverick Mod—and Was It Actually Worth It?

I ordered three things on the same day I ordered my 24 Maverick, and installed them all within a few days after the truck arrived. I would recommend all three to anyone interested, and would definitely do again. New Michelin tires to replace the Continentals on day one, a BedRug, and a Diode...
  5. Drop in vs Spray in bedliner suggestions.

No thanks, I'm too old to go back to work!! I do highly recommend BedRug products though. They have served me well for many years....
  6. Drop in vs Spray in bedliner suggestions.

The BedRug is poly, and does not absorb water. You can sweep it out, vacuum it, towel it or wait for it to evaporate. It's the same type of material used on some boat decks. Easy to dry, easy on the knees, not slippery. My go to choice. I even have a piece of it on my exposed porch leading...
  7. Drop in vs Spray in bedliner suggestions.

I know it wasn't one of your choices, but having tried both, for me, the hands down winner is a bedrug! Superior protection, easy to clean, easy on my knees, and good looking. I've used it in my last two trucks, my van, and my cargo trailer. Works great for me!!
  8. Tire replacement time is approaching.

I am extremely happy with the Michelin Defender 2. I run them on my Maverick and my Transit Connect. We get enough snow in the winter that I use Michelin Ice-X from December through mid-March, but most of the time the Defender would be plenty of tire.
  9. Spare key fob hiding place

But true! Locked myself out of my vehicle in the middle of nowhere 30 years ago, before cell phones..... hasn't happened since!!
  10. Good less aggressive tire for Maverick?

I have the Maverick, and a 2012 Transit Connect. I drive each of them about 8500 miles a year. I have run the Michelin Defenders for over 5 year summers, and am on my second set of Ice X tires in 12 years. (3rd winter on them I believe) No dry rot, no appreciable difference in performance. I...
  11. Good less aggressive tire for Maverick?

I agree. I settled on the Michelin Defender 2 for all my vehicles. Quiet, handle as well or better that any other I've tried and great tread life. I drove my 24 Maverick home from the dealer (32 miles) last February and put on 4 new rims and Michelin Ice-X tires that afternoon. Put the...
  12. What was the first thing you bought for your Maverick?

Bedrug - protects the bed as well or better than any other option I have seen or tried, saves my kness if I chose to crawl into the bed, and looks terrific!! It's my fourth vehicle with a BedRug product, I recommend them highly!!
  13. Spare key fob hiding place

I carry my keys in my right hand pocket. I have always carried a spare set of keys in my left hand pocket......about as secure as I can get.
  14. Bed ramp for loading and unloading road cases

It's packed full with the drum kit in hard cases, 2 array PA systems(one backup), mixer(and a backup) backup mikes, several new drum head(in case I break one, which only happened once since 1968, and I didn't have a spare!! I do now!!) Tarps for rainy gigs, spare mic stands (the guitar player...
  15. Bed ramp for loading and unloading road cases

It's a 4 x 6 LOOK trailer. I bought it new with the optional 15" wheels in 2017. Used to load everything in my 2012 Transit Connect, but the trailer is much easier to load/unload. Towed the trailer with the van for several years, but the Maverick is a much better tow vehicle!!
  16. Bed ramp for loading and unloading road cases

I load drums and PA systems by myself, had the same problem. At age 73, it's not getting any better. Bought a small enclosed trailer! Load height is 15 inches, and the Maverick tows it easily!! And the bed is still free for the guitars and and amps when the other band members ride with me...
  17. Bedrug liner - experiences / review?

I used E-Track mounted on plywood which is bolted to the bed using the factory mounting points on both sides. I use E-Track in my trailer and have multiple accessories available for the truck bed. (baskets, 2x4 carriers, straps, etc.) Works very well for me, I carry drums and PA systems in my...
  18. Bedrug liner - experiences / review?

First thing I did to my 24 XLT. It's my third vehicle with a bedrug, haven't seen anything that suits me better!!
  19. What's behind rear armrest in the XLT or Lariat Maverick?

My 24 XLT has cup holders in the rear seat arm rest....
