Still no update to the pdf version of the Owners Manual. @Tony Pandy , will you take delivery of your AWD order if this is still not in black & white?

Hard decision but more than likely NO as I can order again at a later date if it gets cleared up in writing. My 25 lariat is suppose to be in production this week (01/06/25) so I'm guessing still 4 - 6 or 8 weeks until it hits my dealer for pickup so I still have some time to make a final decision. I'm not in a rush.

This lack of clarity has gone on with Ford for far too long. Wish my 2023 Lariat had AWD, but it tows great with FWD. I was tempted, but this is just too risky at this point...and the lack of existing baseplates for the 2025 Lariat.

I hope they end up deciding it will be flat-towable, but I would definitely not trust Ford at this point.

For the last few months it has been so much back and forth, it is difficult to trust any one. I never plan on towing my 2025 Hybrid AWD

I just took delivery of my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid (Eruption Green) and absolutely love it. I purchased this to flat tow behind my MotorCoach and I verified it was flat towable before leaving the dealership and it worked flawlessly even though the 2025 owner’s manual states it’s not, come to find out that is an error and will be corrected in a future update electronically being the 2025 does not come with a paper manual.

Well I haven’t tow it yet because BlueOx and RoadMaster has not completed the engineering on the base plate and hasn’t started producing it. I am told BlueOx will go to market late February 2025 - the Issue is Ford lowered the adaptive cruise control radar and there is a conflict from earlier models so no one is flat towing this vehicle yet with an approved base plate

The original owner manual had not been updated but is now. The 2025 hybrid awd can be flat towed. The updated Ford towing guide has that info as well as the updated maverick owner manual. We are towing right now. Blue Ox has a base plate that cuts into the shutters. Demco will be out in a few weeks and does not cut. I can list the towing instructions when we stop for the night.

I noticed some language regarding recreational towing in the 2025 Owner's Manual that I didn't see in the 2024 version. This is at the end of the section titled: "Switching Neutral Tow Off"

"6. Before starting the engine, wait 15 minutes with all doors closed and without interacting with the vehicle."

Does anyone know why this was added? I've been in a number of situations where waiting 15 minutes to disconnect and move the towed vehicle would have been problematic.

This is an old post. I think the question you are asking about is can the 2025 hybrid be towed. Yes, definitely. The new Ford Towing Guide clearly shows it can. We have towed ours over 2500 miles with no issues.

Actually, I was asking if you'd gotten an answer about the 15 minute wait. I interpreted your earlier post that you were going to ask your dealer about that. Apologies if I misunderstood the post.

Sorry, the thread was so long I got lost. No, I never got an answer. We just leave the driver door open, release from tow mode, close the door, and let it set 15 minutes. No issue yet.
