I was told by the detailer who applied it that all I needed to do to keep it clean was to take it to a DIY car wash and rinse it off with water.
I would highly recommend looking up how to maintain ceramic coating, in general you don't have to do anything but there are soapa that can weaken or diminish it's performance. DIY car washes lots are fine for the most part of you stick to contactless- using the scrub wash will scratch your clvar to oblivion- if you paid for ceramic I assume you care about keeping it looking new.

Ceramic doesn't have any protective properties?
Nope it's the tiniest of layers on top of your clear coat but won't protect it from damage or UV- just protects the clear coat and adds water repelling properties.

Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the info, I was always under the wrong impression that ceramic did help preserve to some degree.

I very much enjoy detailing my vehicles. With a new vehicle I will do a paint correction and then I apply Lithium's "Seal and Squeal Sealant" it's polymer that has Si02 technology. After I buff off the polymer and let it cure overnight, I then apply their top coat "Gloss Sauce" which has T-1 Carnauba wax. I find I get about 3 months out of the top coat and about a year out of the underlying polymer sealant. The results are very good and I rarely need to do a contact wash.

I also enjoy detailing my vehicles. Relaxing therapy for me 😃

We all have a clear coat right ?

My 2021 Bronco Sport in Shadow Black looked new at four years old with 57,000 miles when I traded it in on my Mav.
I never even waxed it, not once.

Aw I’d run it through the car wash two or three times a year and pay for the hot wax treatment.
I liked to hand wash it.

Bought mine on 12/31/24,
I’m at 5,600 miles now. I’ve washed it twice.
It’s a truck.
Besides it rains a lot here, stays clean enough.

I wash mine once a year. I have an antique 72 cuda that has not been washed in 31 years, since it was restored.

Good for you.

Some people enjoy driving spotless cars, this thread is for them
I wish, I gave up. I wash mine and it rains the next day. I live up a gravel dirt road. When things dry out I get dust.
