yes The AC gets cold if working properly and maintained I also noticed the Heater gets warm
Ok, dumb me, how and when should an AC system be maintained? At a certain time after usage or yearly?

Nothing gets Ice cold since they got rid of R12 in cars and trucks.
That said, I live in the Mojave Desert not far from Death Valley and I have never had a problem with the air conditioner 23 hybrid keeping the interior cold.
Even at 117°+ that's at single digit humidity which makes a difference. The hybrid which I have has a different style of compressor than a traditional automotive compressor.

If it's humid and it doesn't seem like the interior is getting cold. You may want to check and make sure that your drain line is draining condensation. Unfortunately you have a splash shield underneath where the condensation would be dripping from. It's a little hard to verify that everything is draining properly. Without removing that splash shield.
Good luck,
GB
I'm um Vegas and the A/C works great!

Yep, even in on the 110°+ days.

Back in the 70's If it was humid.
The vents on my old Chrysler's would start to frost up. With R-12

the early R134A ac units were atrocious.

But then they actually redesigned the heat exchangers, and a unit the same size can do a good job.

R134A has, what, 2/3 the heat transfer of R12? As I understand the solution, it was to have the coolant go through multiple paths (or a longer convoluted one?) instead of a single pass.

You can now even get retrofit exchangers for classic cars that "look right", but internally does the multi-path thing! [and as I understand it, all you have to do is swap that and thoroughly get the R12 out.]

If I get a classic again.
Screw retrofitting the a/c to please some tree hugging nut as long as I have 14 lbs of R-12 left.

That's more a function of the operation than the refrigerant.

Example: more / better sensors in the evaporator. They cycle it off to prevent freezing now. And it won't run below 35°F ambient.

"R134a, a common refrigerant, can get very cold. In typical refrigeration applications, the temperature won't get lower than -15°C (approximately 5°F)."

R134a can reach temperatures ten or twenty degrees below zero Fahrenheit, if allowed to go that low. In air conditioning systems, the systems are monitored and carefully controlled to prevent icing.

Mine is a 2024 Mav Lariat.
Mine gets hella cold. I have it set on 75 & auto with the fan set on low. Sometimes I have to bump it up by a couple degrees because it’s making my nibbles frosty.

I would recommend getting yours checked out. If it has a leak, it’s better to know now. If it is not blowing cold, something is wrong with it.

I have found turning off the floor directed helps cool better. It really does not blow well out of the floor vents for AC in my opinion.
Cold air falls, hot air rises. If you're blowing cold air to the floor, it'll stay there.
