Geez. Did they provide the condom and lubeFord called back. No assistance will be provided. Seems like it is a hybrid unique component and a part of the powertrain, but they insist that it is not covered under warranty.

Hmmm my backup 22 hybrid XLT LUX with 4300 miles has its 3/36 warranty date in first week of Oct. Tempting to put EXTENDED WARRANTY on the dang thing. Have not done this software flash yet but will soon. These things are a strong vote for Additional warranty. It has the original 390CCA 12v battery with the no dome lights but always started (I don't use Ford Pass so don't get deep sleep messages). Anytime I get into it and dome light is dark, I put noco g5 on it for several days. After a year or so I started to double locking truck when noco on it. About 8 months ago I started unlocking, opening, closing, and double locking the driver door ONCE A DAY. Hoping the BMS battery learn will repeat multiple times and see the 12v at 100%. I have no idea if this helps anything, but now I can get into truck when dome light doesn't come on and 12v is at 11.9v drive 30 miles and 24 hours after shut down 12v will be at 12.6 or 12.7. I park in garage, raise hood so I can take voltage readings at jump posts without unlocking, opening door and double lock. If I unlock door, pop hood, double lock truck the 12v readings will be 13.1v (remember the opening of door woke truck up and I did not put key in so did DCDC also wake up? OR is there a buck booster delivering 13.1v to buss from 12v which could be maybe as low as 8v in order to close the DCDC CONTACTOR?). In any case the 13.1v stays for maybe 15+ minutes before dropping to 12.6v (read at about 45 minutes after the 13.1v reading taken after the double lock killed all the delay circuits). When I get time to leave truck sitting and in a week or two 12v drops down to 11.9-12.1v I will open door, shut it double lock it and see what the readings are. FWIW?Well that just sucks, I think since they did the software flash, they should cover the cost of the AC module they bricked.
I know my 23 maverick hybrid XLT is still under warranty, I think I will wait until I see some positive results of the update besides bricking the AC Module.
The 8yr/100k warranty is NOT a unique "HYBRID" warranty but IS a unique HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY related warranty!!!That makes zero sense. If it's a "Hybrid Unique Component" wouldn't it be covered under the 8-year/100,000-mile warranty on the hybrid components? Plus if the ACCM was working before the SSM 83501 was applied it should be working after. Clearly they're still trying to figure out whats causing the brick and as stated from one of the Ford techs on this post, replacing the ACCM isn't the solution. Once they figure out the cause, you should get updated and hopefully it fixes your problem. Please keep us updated!
Gotcha, thanks for clarification! I'd also consider the extended warranty when my time approaches if all this is isn't resolved by then. The 8yr/100k warranty is NOT a unique "HYBRID" warranty but IS a unique HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY related warranty!!!
From some of posts I've seen apparently at least some of dealers charge the ext w deductible ($100?) even if they find nothing, guessing it beats the full ($200+?) diagnose fee). Do we buy EXT WARRANTY or trade for a new go at it at end of 3/36?Gotcha, thanks for clarification! When that times comes for me I'd have to evaluate trade in price verses new otd price verses cost of the extended warranty. From some of posts I've seen apparently at least some of dealers charge the ext w deductible ($100?) even if they find nothing, guessing it beats the full ($200+?) diagnose fee). Definitely feeling better about Ford giving me a free 3 year/36,000 mile extended warranty after replacing my 2022 Hybrid Engine @ 39,000 miles a few months ago!Hmmm my backup 22 hybrid XLT LUX with 4300 miles has its 3/36 warranty date in first week of Oct. Unbelievable situation, feel for you.Ford called back. No assistance will be provided. Seems like it is a hybrid unique
I’m not that customer but mine did that as well. It’s been there since 5/12. When the original update “killed” the AC compressor, Ford had them replace it. They did but then it still didn’t fix it. Ford engineers had given them at least three things to try but so far nothing has worked. I’m in a loaner from them but am leaving for vacation tomorrow and won’t be back for 2 weeks. Hopefully when I get home all will be fixed and I’ll be able to get my truck back! Hope no one else has this happen to their Maverick. Thanks for the word to the wise, Darryl.
Quite the sticky wicket and I hope you (collective you), can get the person's truck back to them...and Ford can sort out their end as well.
Cheers, and thanks for your membership/contributions here at MTC!

I can only empathize, and hope these experiences are not too wide spread as I will have to take my 2025 Lariat in for its first oil change pretty soon.I’m not that customer but mine did that as well. Actually they mentioned the possibility of trading it in for a new one. I’m afraid that that means they think it really is dead! Not going to worry about it now until I can do something on the 23rd.I can only empathize, and hope these experiences are not too wide spread as I will have to take my 2025 Lariat in for its first oil change pretty soon.
Troubleshooting this is a bit of a challenge to put it mildly. You go from "okay this is the problem and here are the three options to repair it", to "oh boy, nothing is working!"
The good news is they have a loaner for you, and a holiday break may give them time to sort it out
..or give you a new Mav!...mm, I wouldn't hold my breath on that last bit, but you never know right?
Cheers,
Andy
Way to go! So glad to hear you aren't getting all wrapped up in a knot as some do here over whatever upsets them.Actually they mentioned the possibility of trading it in for a new one. Direct from my 24 window sticker:The 8yr/100k warranty is NOT a unique "HYBRID" warranty but IS a unique HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY related warranty!!!
High voltage drivetrain components.Direct from my 24 window sticker:
8YR/100,000 HYBRID UNIQUE

So it sounds like more than just the HVB
