is there an easy way to empty out the hole in the center console?

He should have said that. I guessed based on the picture the dime was the problem. So if it inside the console below that hole and he wants easy I would suggest a hand help dead-blow hammer. It will open that plastic up no problem

Console is removable, there's around 7 bolts holding it all in place.

2 bolts just under the USB ports, 1 near the ds footwell. 2 in the center near the bottom and 2 more on the bottom near the rear of the console.

Your first picture reminds me of ‘Johnny 5’.

the center console latch has the hole. is there an easy way to empty it out? i added a pic where i stuck a dime right in front of the hole.
if you need to know why, i have a "friend" that knew that the rattling would annoy me.

i didnt have to unplug any wires. i just had to loosen it and lift it a little and the dimes started falling to the floor (i didnt count how much money i made off this). i guess at that point i could have used a shopvac.

anyway problem solved... alls well that ends well.
