I'd pay an extra $1500 for a PHEV with a thirtyfold+ larger battery than the current hybrid. (1.1kWh?! wtf are they thinking?)
I'd pay an extra $2500 for an EV with a range extender motor allowing it to go 500 miles between charges.
But I'm cheap; half Jewish and half Scottish, so I'm DOUBLE cheap. The real prices for those two things would likely be at least double what I'd pay. Actually, quadruple because battery systems aren't cheap.
