The black wheel rims on a black truck look great.

I do like the look.
But I spend a lot of hours in mine and I put substantial weight in the bed frequently so I value a soft ride.
But this is a great truck to lower.

I would definitely recheck the strut top nut first if you didn't finish torquing that with the front wheels on the ground.

it's the easiest thing to check.

I definitely did not torque them with wheels on the ground. Will check it out today. Thanks.

What are they torqued to?

yes, and I discovered through experience that if you torque it down off the truck like that, after it has the weight of the truck on it, the lowering springs will compress a lot more. I'm pretty sure that's why it needs to be torqued after putting the front back on the ground.

I'm not sure that would apply with stock springs, but I doubt many people on MTC are looking at that except to install lowering springs. :)

Sure would be handy to snag up one of those spring compressors in the pic

Lobo looks great lowered! I have the Goodwin's at the house awaiting a free weekend so I can install

I dunno, it's clamping only in one place, which to me seems a little iffy even though it does have a lot of contact, on roughly half of the coils.

I borrowed a spring compressor from Autozone. It's a $55 deposit which gets refunded when you return the tool clean and in good condition. it has 2 clamps so you can compress the spring equally and it doesn't bulge out.

Nice. I feel like my FX4 is already painfully low from the factory given its mission statement, but the stock Lobo is just begging to be lowered. Looking forward to seeing more of them with the ride height "corrected." :)

When you change suspension height you're also supposed to loosen all the suspension bushings, and re-tighten them only when the truck is resting on its wheels at the new height. Otherwise you end up with a preload in the bushings

If your alignment place is competent and you tell them you changed height they should do this for you while it's on the rack before aligning

Appreciate the info... will look at that

Lowering my LOBO is defiantly on my wish list. I think the Good Win set with their sway bar is the way to go.
Nice job!

Its clamping from one side but its about 2/3s of the way around. Im sure they've figured it out.
