Out of curiosity… Anyone attempted or even thought of using 4 ramps to do fluid changes? Instead of using numerous jack stands. Seems like it would be beneficial especially for transmission drain and fills as far as the leveling part of it. If this is a bad idea that’s fine. Just wanted to know if anyone has done it this way.

🫣 Kind of risky with certain types of ramps, like the type shown. You'd have to have two of those under the middle section of the vehicle coming down off those, if you bounced at all you could be breaking things.
I have thought about it.
I'm sure somebody has tried it.
It is not something I would do.
I hope this helped.
Take care,
GB

The problem is that everything about the transmission fill plug is easier with the front wheel off IIRC.
When I did it I may have had the truck on 2 jack stands just to work and drain fluids, but when I did the final fill and level check on the transmission, I had 3 wheels on the ground and just the front left corner on a jack stand.

Understandable … Those looks like the ones I have actually, I use the long profile Pittsburgh ramps from HF.

I'd drive it up on four, then quickly jack a corner and rotate the ramp on one wheel 180 so the stop is facing the other way, that way it can't roll forward or back. Still seems faster then trying to jack up all sides and putting stands in all corners.

I have 100% done it multiple times.

Piece of cake with the Tremor.

Total bitch with the AWD Hybrid.

So YMMV.

Best money i spent 50 years ago was a shop with a 4 post lift🤗
yes, we should do a group buy!
🤪

We'll start looking for another house in a few months. My only requirement is a minimum of six car garage/shop with at least two lifts (not counting garage space for the daily drivers!)

I do it all the time. If I'm going to be doing anything that requires a lot of torque on a fastener that might cause it to roll, I always use at least two jack stands and chocks when there's a wheel on the ground. But changing fluids on the EB AWD is no issue with four ramps, transmission in park and parking brake set.
