Got a set of those plastic parts store ramps. Had em since 2010 and used em for Econolines and other heavy stuff. Their slope is a lil straighter.

Use wood : 2x8. 2x10 something like that. Just stack layers flat like mini 1.5" stairs.

How much ground clearance is there under the nose of a Lariat? Does the XLT have the same?

I need a ramp to access and leave my back yard, and was previously using some standard Harbor Freight metal ramps. As you can see by the photo below, my 2024 Lariat bumper facia is too low for me to use them

The forward mud flap looks like it will make contact too, but I'm less worried about that as I can remove it if I have to.

I have the same problem with my ramps. I had just assumed there wouldn't be an issue since my '09 Flex and '14 Escape are both fine with the ramps and they are front wheel drive models. My FX4 with theoretically higher ground clearance has a lower approach angle.

another vote for the plastic harbor freight ones from me. I used those with my last vehicle without issue and it had pretty low clearance ( 2003 Toyota Matrix ).

FYI project farm just recently did a ramp test and 5e results were pretty surprising. IIRC the HF plastic ramps performed well above their design limits.

After watching the video, I am glad I made some simple wooden ramps out of stacks 2x8s. I won't waste my money on any of them.

Based on your picture , if you add a 2" X 10" X 12" to 15" long place them in front of your tire and up the ramp a bit That will do the trick . . ADD a screw through the wood and into the metal ramp to keep it from slipping down , one in each ramp is enough . Under $15.00 at Menards .

Fair enough, but I'm not worried about scratching something; I'm worried about damaging or tearing it off from an avoidable potential abuse.

Plastic actually well outperforms metal in car ramp use.

measurements and statistics are one thing; trusting them while underneath a couple of tons of elevated steel is another . . .

I use the plastic Harbor freight ramps. The ramp is more gradual.

Same here. I can even get my wife's low slung Civic on the plastic ramps, surprisingly.

I don't remember whether it slid as a vehicle went up, or missed, or whatever, but . . .
