Lariat Smoked Taillights - unsmoking?

My 2025 Lariat has “Smoked” Taillights. Is there a way that tint can be removed? The attached pics are my traded ‘22 and my current ‘25.

You are probably going to have to replace the tail light housings. A good example of a previous owner thinking everybody will love their modifications. Hopefully they didn't make permanent changes to the electrical system or spread kitchen and bath silicone all over.

The 2025 Lariats come stock like this, he is wanting to to "unsmoke" them.

I don't believe that theres anything you can do to make them bright- People were using zepp degreaser to remove the chrome paint and it's likely they just didn't add the chrome paint inside the headlights.

Swap them with someone who wants them! Many people like that look & buy the black package just to get them.

I'm in Kansas City, I would swap you tail lights. 2024 Lariat, purchased in February of 2025 so they're basically brand new.

Ever come up on a vehicle with smoked taillights in the fog? I don't understand the fad. Clearly the dumbest, most dangerous mod anyone can do.

The Normal (chromed) verison is chromed in the manufacturing. There is no way to re-chrome them.

OEM light assemblies should still have reflective surfaces where appropriate; it's just the nonfunctional parts that are darkened.

They are still incandescence with an LED light pipe.
