Ok tired of getting sleep mode. Possible solution

OK until Ford correct this problem, my truck stays in sleep mode most of the time. And I’m getting sick of it. I’m tired that when I open it up in the mornings and it’s dark that I have no dome light. So this is my thoughts.. until I can get a resolved from Ford. I’ve read where you can do solar panel trickle chargers for the battery and you can leave them charging while you’re driving. They say it will not overload the battery. Anybody have a thought about this?

Many threads on this, try charging battery overnight and do a bms reset. do not step on brakes turn on ignition

hit high beams 5 times, step on brake 3 times, battery indicator will flash, done. I have an ecoboost, and had sleep all the time, tried this and totally awake now.

This is not Ford messing you up, but a bad dealer refusing to replace the destroyed battery. Get the Ford rep involved.

I’ve had my battery replaced twice in less than 30 days. The original was replaced last month and the replacement was replaced last week and per my dealer that I’m using now Ford is saying end of Q2 for fix.

I got my 2023 Lariat Hybrid in August, 2023. I had the deep sleep issues from the start. Got sick of it and bought a Uplus AGM battery from Amazon in November, 2024 for $120.00 delivered. No deep sleep issues since then.

This is a well known issue on Ford Hybrids going back 4+ years. Not particularly a battery issue, but the system not properly charging the battery.

If the battery passes dealer tests, as mine did, they will not replace it. It just drops voltage enough to go into deep sleep(around 12.2v) but will still start the truck.

OK, I finally took the Maverick in to the Ford shop, they installed a new AGM battery and gave me an update on what Ford is working on.

Be really nice if Ford would offer to reimburse me for the AGM battery I bought myself but I do not expect that will be likely.

FYI. My 2022 hybrid XLT lux just had my noco maintainer on truck for eight days. Had fully charged battery and ran optimization. Once on fifth day and once on 7th day I opened and closed drivers door which causes noco to restart cycle. Early on 8th day interrupted optimization and I drove 65 minutes then after 50 minutes returned to starting location. Watched voltage monitor in cig power point 81°F ambient with AC set to fan 3 at 71°F. It read 12.9v most of time with some 12.8v and very little 12.7v so I think bms thinks battery is 100% charged and we are seeing at most less than 0.1 volt charging current. when parked in garage noco cycled through charge cycles about 10-12 minutes and has been in optimization (desulfate/destratify) for l little over an hour now. This battery is original 390 CCA OEM 34 months old. Truck has 2854 miles after today's trip. I expect battery has some hard sulfation though it does get long sitting times with noco on it.
