MY Interpretation.I expect by the time the screen would have an issue a replacement can be had for a nominal price.
They love scaring people to buy extended warranties. The 2022-2024 screens are $85-200 on eBay.My first infotainment experience: = Finance rep pointed out the Replacement Cost of info screen when it could fail sometime after the 3/36 warranty ran out!![]()
Ford won't buy one off of eBay for repair. They love scaring people to buy extended warranties. The 2022-2024 screens are $85-200 on eBay.
Yep, just pointing out that they're cheap and will get cheaper. And they're easy to change out for most folks. I think it's just popping off the top plastic cubby, a few bolts, and maybe 1-2 connectors.Ford won't buy one off of eBay for repair.
I was thinking of latching onto Maverick totaled by rear end collision and parking it beside my power pole while using my Ford dealers "service in your driveway" for maintenance. I suppose I would have to keep the VIN # visible. What would Ford think if the truck never changed GPS coordinates?Right now might be a good time to buy an extra one & have it on hand if you know what I mean. I am sure they are not made in the US.
I remember the days when the AC lack of life would justify purchase of the 8y/100k extended warranty but they seem to have fixed that on today's vehicles.I figure it might go eventually but I have the ten year 100k warranty that covers everything like the bumper to bumper warranty so if it does fail, no big deal. But there are a lot of things on a car that can die....
