Hi there, new to this truck club but had my truck for 2 months now and getting this error message displaying in my dash stating maintain front camera and collision assist is off. I probably don’t have the wording right but as soon as it came from the factory it had the same thing and they had to fix it at the dealership. Now it’s back.

Anyone else having issues like this with the 2025 maverick?

Check the front sensors and the area of your windshield (Center top) to make sure no debris and are clean. Happened once to me love bugs and mosquito hawks kissed my front on a long highway drive.

I've gotten that before, the dinginng scared the crap out of me. It happened in snowy conditions and again when the truck was covered in dust from a job site (it was a pretty thick coating from wind). I think it literally just the camera in front of the rear view mirror getting blocked and if I had cleaned the windshield it would have gone away. If this is happening in totally clean conditions I'd probably go to the dealership.

I get this error early in the morning when there is frost at the top of the windshield covering the camera, but after running the defroster for a few minutes, it goes away.

I get this error early in the morning when there is still on the top of the windshield covering the camera, but after running the defroster for a few minutes, it goes away.
Similar here, I got it one cold morning when there was either dew on the windsheild and/or a bit of fogging on the inteior glass, it cleared up after a few minutes of driving and I haven't seen it again since.

Can happen with grit, grime or even morning dew or condensation are on the sensors. With morning dew or condensation, as soon as I start driving at speed, the light will go out as the sensors clear.

I was wondering if it could be dirty…good to know that it can and maybe not an issue with the front camera itself. Thank you!

Dealer needs to run it through the FDRS. There is an update it needs.

Mine only happens when there is frost on the windshield or sometimes in the rain.

Job 1s had to have this done. Ones built in January and February should have had the software update before arriving at the dealer.
Hmm. Recall or Customer Satisfaction thing?

Neither, these were supposed to be done before arriving at the dealer so they do not need to issue a recall. I know that a small number arrived in January that had this same issue and they hooked it up to the FDRS for a couple minutes to update the software.

Thanks Tim! I got the front camera fault message Monday but, starting Tuesday through now, the message doesn't go away. I have a local Ford dealer reaching out tomorrow to schedule me in and to get me a loaner vehicle. I will make sure to let him know this.

BTW, it was great seeing you and Sarah last week. Next time I will try to stick around so we can grab lunch.
