Reaching for 500 hp, wowza !
Ever see those YouTube’s where the dragster blows the head right through the hood ?
If the Ecoboost holds together and the transmission does not detonate and the axles don’t rip out,
Sorry I couldn’t help it :’P

That will be sum excellent Badassery !

You’ve got to give us some quarter mile times !
Before and after.
Oh I’d like to see a few roll ups, Say,
40 to 80 mph.
Well the stock engine will only be good for about 420-430whp based on all the other ecoboost builds. I know that everyone building 2.0 or 2.3 focuses stopped around 420whp. On stock engine parts. To get over 500whp he’s also gonna need a bigger turbo. The factory rs turbo is pretty dang big and wouldn’t come close. The nx2 is huge and it take that unit to break 500whp. In the focus and mustangs.
The axles would for sure die as that was the first thing I tore up in my rs once I broke 425whp. But man a 500whp maverick would be awsome. And his fuel system should do it. I am using the lms hpfp and injectors on my rs and am at 528awhp flex fuel.

Side note anyone who has e85. Care to share how many miles per tank you get on e85 when normal driving? I travel for work and that’s the main reason I have not gone e85 is small tank and e85 makes for a hassle traveling.

I may do a downpipe and Corsair turbo if I go farther. But once they can tune the 25 plus models I may upgrade and do that one.
honestly with the miles you rack up, I would leave your current mav as it is and then a few years later get a 25+ with port and direct injection and modify that.

That’s my thought. Easy to swap port injectors and go e85 with bigger turbo.
Thats is exactly what I did on my 23 150.

If you do the Corsair turbo swap and not the ST4, can the stock fuel system handle?

91 and an ethanol blen up to e30.. that will max out your fuel system. Trust me I know. I eventually went with the nostrum big fuel system. And I have an extra kit if someone is looking.. brand new sealed boxes from nostrum. Pump and injectors.

Thank you for the info! I just got in the turbo and waiting on delivery of the HPFP. Might take you up on the injectors.
