Stage 4 Turbo upgrade w/ 2.3 Corsair turbo

First of all, I want to thank John (Deuces) for doing all the work and research on the turbo options for the Mav. As most of you know, he’s the first person to swap the turbo on a Maverick and is currently the fastest Maverick in the world.

The 2.3 Corsair turbo is already rare so finding a used one is next to impossible. So I bit the bullet and ordered 2 new ones from the dealer (1 for me and 1 for a Grey Goose ) . Like the sensible car guys we are, we shipped them out to be “serviced”.

Lawrence and I just got them back today and they checked out ok. Somehow they came back as 57/71 turbos. Hopefully they work ok.

You have absolutely no reason to be jealous brother. You have the fastest Maverick in the world by a pretty large margin and you did it on a budget that is almost laughable. YOU are looking down, we’re all looking up at you! If anyone should be jealous it’s me.

Plus, I think I established something a while ago. Our group all pulls for each other. There are no negative comments or BS. A win for anyone is a win for the group. I hope that never changes, I know I won’t change my attitude.

This was also made possible by you as you’re the one who did the leg work and discovered this upgrade. So until someone bests your 12.1, you have nothing to be jealous about brother.

The funny part is that if ford ever wants to make a performance ev maverick they are gonna have to borrow your trucks for benchmarking!

At the very least if they ever release an ST or RS Maverick I won’t want one because it will probably be slower lol. Unless they somehow stuff a twin turbo 6 cylinder in it. My brother has an Explorer ST and an intercooler upgrade with drop in filter and time gets you mid to high 12s.. My buddy has a 3.5 F150 and same 3 upgrades got him mid 7s in the 8th.

For sure! I would hope any performance version would get a basic Tremor treatment. Upgraded shaft and the rear diff. Maybe light wheels(gt350r?) stiff shocks, lower springs, and other handling kit. That might be worth it unless you are just going for a drag truck. In theory, if ever, i hear its sold out already.

Lol...I personally plan to see about playing more with timing to see if we can light up the turbo quicker!

What tune are you gonna rock with that turbo?

I've been in talks with Palm Beach dyno since they are here in Florida and "expressed" what I was looking for. They assured me they could "get me there". If all works out I'll have them build a similar tune for Ivan and have him data log for a bit to ensure all is dialed in on his truck. I LOVE live dyno tunes!
